And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son’s mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son’s mandrakes.
Leah said to her, “Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? Would you take away my son’s mandrakes, also?” Rachel said, “Therefore he will lie with you tonight for your son’s mandrakes.”
Con eso al volver Jacob por la tarde del campo, le salió al encuentro Lía, y le dijo: Conmigo has de venir, porque yo he comprado este favor a mi hermana con las mandrágoras de mi hijo. Aquella noche, pues, durmió Jacob con ella.
Y cuando Jacob volvía del campo á la tarde, salió Lea á él, y le dijo: A mí has de entrar, porque á la verdad te he alquilado por las mandrágoras de mi hijo. Y durmió con ella aquella noche.

And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.
Laban said to him, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, stay here, for I have divined that the LORD has blessed me for your sake.”
Señala tú la recompensa que debo darte.
Y dijo: Señálame tu salario, que yo lo daré.
And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

A lo que respondió él: Tú sabes bien de qué manera te he servido, y cuánto ha crecido en mis manos tu hacienda.

And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.
Jacob said to him, “You know how I have served you, and how your livestock have fared with me.
Poca era la que tenías antes que yo viniese a ti, y ahora estás rico: porque el Señor te bendijo con mi venida. Es justo, pues, que algún día mire yo también por mi casa.
Porque poco tenías antes de mi venida, y ha crecido en gran número; y Jehová te ha bendecido con mi llegada: y ahora ¿cuándo tengo de hacer yo también por mi propia casa?
For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?
For it was little which you had before I came, and it has increased to a multitude. The LORD has blessed you wherever I turned. Now when will I provide for my own house also?”
Dijo Labán: ¿Y qué es lo que quieres que te dé? No quiero nada, respondió Jacob ; mas si hicieres lo que voy a pedirte, proseguiré apacentando, y guardando tus ganados.
Y él dijo: ¿Qué te daré? Y respondió Jacob: No me des nada: si hicieres por mí esto, volveré á apacentar tus ovejas.
And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock:
Laban said, “What shall I give you?” Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything. If you will do this thing for me, I will again feed your flock and keep it.
Haz revista de todos ellos, y separa desde ahora para ti las ovejas todas de color vario y de vellón abigarrado; y en lo sucesivo todo lo que naciere de color oscuro, y manchado, y vario, tanto de las ovejas como de las cabras, eso será mi recompensa.
Yo pasaré hoy por todas tus ovejas, poniendo aparte todas las reses manchadas y de color vario, y todas las reses de color oscuro entre las ovejas, y las manchadas y de color vario entre las cabras; y esto será mi salario.
I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.
I will pass through all your flock today, removing from there every speckled and spotted one, and every black one among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats. This will be my hire.
Y a su tiempo hablará a favor mío mi lealtad, en llegando el plazo acordado; y todas las reses que no fueren de color vario, y manchado, y oscuro, tanto en las ovejas como en las cabras, me convencerán reo de hurto.
Así responderá por mí mi justicia mañana, cuando me viniere mi salario delante de ti: toda la que no fuere pintada ni manchada en las cabras y de color oscuro en las ovejas mías, se me ha de tener por de hurto.
So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.
So my righteousness will answer for me hereafter, when you come concerning my hire that is before you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the sheep, that might be with me, will be considered stolen.”
Dijo Labán: Me place tu propuesta.
Y dijo Labán: Mira, ojalá fuese como tú dices.
And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.
Laban said, “Behold, let it be according to your word.”
Y separó en aquel día las cabras, y las ovejas, y los machos de cabrío, y los carneros pintados y manchados; y todo el ganado de un solo color, esto es, de vellón todo blanco, o todo negro, le entregó a la custodia de sus hijos.
Y apartó aquel día los machos de cabrío rayados y manchados; y todas las cabras manchadas y de color vario, y toda res que tenía en sí algo de blanco, y todas las de color oscuro entre las ovejas, y púsolas en manos de sus hijos;
And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

Y puso el espacio de tres jornadas entre sí y el yerno, el cual quedó apacentando con los hijos de Labán los demás rebaños suyos.

De esta suerte dividió Jacob la grey, poniendo las varas en las canales ante los ojos de los carneros, de manera que todas las crías blancas y las negras eran de Labán; quedando para Jacob las demás de varios colores, teniendo separados entre sí los rebaños.
Y apartaba Jacob los corderos, y poníalos con su rebaño, los listados, y todo lo que era oscuro en el hato de Labán. Y ponía su hato aparte, y no lo ponía con las ovejas de Labán.

And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

Mas cuando otra vez debían concebir en otoño, no las ponía; con lo que los partos tardíos vinieron a ser de Labán, y los tempranos de Jacob .
