40Ces agneaux, Jacob les tenait à distance et il tournait la face du bétail de Laban, du coté des tachetés et des bruns; plus tard il les réunit en troupeau pour lui seul et ne les mêla point au bétail de Laban.

40Y apartaba Jacob los corderos, y poníalos con su rebaño, los listados, y todo lo que era oscuro en el hato de Labán. Y ponía su hato aparte, y no lo ponía con las ovejas de Labán.

40And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle.
World English Bible
40Jacob separated the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the streaked and all the black in Laban’s flock. He put his own droves apart, and didn’t put them into Laban’s flock.
