Abraão tomou outra mulher; seu nome era Quetura.

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

Ela deu à luz Zinrã, Jocsã, Medã, Midiã, Isbaque e Suá.

La cual le parió á Zimram, y á Joksan, y á Medan, y á Midiam, y á Ishbak, y á Sua.

And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

Jocsã tornou-se pai de Seba e Dedã. Os povos Assurim, Letusim e Leumim eram descendentes de Dedã.

Y Joksan engendró á Seba, y á Dedán: é hijos de Dedán fueron Assurim, y Letusim, y Leummim.

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Os filhos de Midiã foram Efá, Efer, Hanoque, Abidá e Eldá. Todos esses eram descendentes de Quetura.

E hijos de Midiam: Epha, y Epher, y Enech, y Abida, y Eldaa. Todos estos fueron hijos de Cetura.

Abraão deu tudo o que possuía a Isaque.

Y Abraham dió todo cuanto tenía á Isaac.

No entanto, enquanto era vivo, deu presentes aos filhos de suas concubinas e lhes enviou para a terra ao leste, distante de Isaque, seu filho.

Y á los hijos de sus concubinas dió Abraham dones, y enviólos de junto Isaac su hijo, mientras él vivía, hacia el oriente, á la tierra oriental.

Isaque e Ismael, seus filhos, enterraram-no na caverna de Macpela, no campo de Efrom, filho de Zoar, o heteu, perto de Manre.

Abraão havia comprado esse campo dos filhos dos heteus. Ele fora enterrado juntamente com Sara, sua esposa.

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

Eles habitaram desde Havilá até Sur, perto do Egito, como quem vai em direção à Assíria. Eles viviam em hostilidade um com o outro.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

e este tinha quarenta anos quando tomou por mulher Rebeca, filha de Betuel, o arameu de Padã-arã, e irmã de Labão, o arameu.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

Os filhos lutavam dentro dela, e ela disse: "Por que isso está acontecendo comigo?". E foi consultar a Yahweh.

And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

Yahweh disse-lhe: "Há duas nações em teu útero, e dois povos serão separados de teu ventre. Um povo será mais forte que o outro, e o mais velho servirá o mais novo".

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

Quando chegou o tempo de dar à luz, havia gêmeos em seu ventre.

Logo em seguida, veio seu irmão, cuja mão segurava o calcanhar de Esaú. E lhe deram o nome de Jacó. Isaque tinha sessenta anos quando sua esposa os deu à luz.

Y después salió su hermano, trabada su mano al calcañar de Esaú: y fué llamado su nombre Jacob. Y era Isaac de edad de sesenta años cuando ella los parió.

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

After that, his brother came out, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel. He was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

Os meninos cresceram, e Esaú se tornou um caçador habilidoso, um homem do campo; porém, Jacó era um homem calmo que passava seu tempo nas tendas.

Y crecieron los niños, y Esaú fué diestro en la caza, hombre del campo: Jacob empero era varón quieto, que habitaba en tiendas.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

Isaque amava Esaú, pois ele comia os animais que seu filho caçava, já Rebeca amava Jacó.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Now Isaac loved Esau, because he ate his venison. Rebekah loved Jacob.

Certa vez, Jacó havia feito um ensopado, quando Esaú chegou do campo, fraco de fome.

Y guisó Jacob un potaje; y volviendo Esaú del campo cansado,

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.

Então, Esaú disse a Jacó: "Dá-me desse ensopado vermelho, por favor. Estou faminto!". Por isso, ele foi chamado Edom.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.

Jacó disse: "Primeiro, vende-me o teu direito de primogenitura".

Y Jacob respondió: Véndeme en este día tu primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

Jacob said, “First, sell me your birthright.”

Esaú respondeu: "Estou prestes a morrer. De que me serviria o direito da primogenitura?".

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

E Jacó retomou: "Jura-me primeiro". Então, Esaú fez um juramento e, desse modo, vendeu-lhe seu direito de primogenitura.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

Jacó deu pão e o ensopado de lentilhas a seu irmão. Ele comeu e bebeu, então, levantou-se e seguiu o seu caminho. Assim, Esaú desprezou o seu direito de primogenitura.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
