DE allí partió Abraham á la tierra del Mediodía, y asentó entre Cades y Shur, y habitó como forastero en Gerar.
And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

E Abrahamo diceva di Sara sua moglie: “Ell’è mia sorella”. E Abimelec, re di Gherar, mandò a pigliar Sara.
Y dijo Abraham de Sara su mujer: Mi hermana es. Y Abimelech, rey de Gerar, envió y tomó á Sara.
And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.

Non m’ha egli detto: E’ mia sorella? e anche lei stessa ha detto: Egli è mio fratello. Io ho fatto questo nella integrità del mio cuore e con mani innocenti”.
¿No me dijo él: Mi hermana es; y ella también dijo: Es mi hermano? Con sencillez de mi corazón, y con limpieza de mis manos he hecho esto.
Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
Didn’t he tell me, ‘She is my sister’? She, even she herself, said, ‘He is my brother.’ I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands.”
E Dio gli disse nel sogno: “Anch’io so che tu hai fatto questo nella integrità del tuo cuore; e t’ho quindi preservato dal peccare contro di me; perciò non ti ho permesso di toccarla.

And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I didn’t allow you to touch her.
Or dunque, restituisci la moglie a quest’uomo, perché è profeta; ed egli pregherà per te, e tu vivrai. Ma, se non la restituisci, sappi che, per certo, morrai: tu e tutti i tuoi”.
Ahora, pues, vuelve la mujer á su marido; porque es profeta, y orará por ti, y vivirás. Y si tú no la volvieres, sabe que de cierto morirás, con todo lo que fuere tuyo.
Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

E Abimelec si levò la mattina per tempo, chiamò tutti i suoi servi, e raccontò in loro presenza tutte queste cose. E quegli uomini furon presi da gran paura.
Entonces Abimelech se levantó de mañana, y llamó á todos sus siervos, y dijo todas estas palabras en los oídos de ellos; y temieron los hombres en gran manera.

Poi Abimelec chiamò Abrahamo e gli disse: “Che ci hai tu fatto? E in che t’ho io offeso, che tu abbia fatto venir su me e sul mio regno un sì gran peccato? Tu m’hai fatto cose che non si debbono fare”.
Después llamó Abimelech á Abraham, y le dijo: ¿Qué nos has hecho? ¿y en qué pequé yo contra ti, que has atraído sobre mí y sobre mi reino tan gran pecado? lo que no debiste hacer has hecho conmigo.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!”
E di nuovo Abimelec disse ad Abrahamo: “A che miravi, facendo questo?”

And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you see, that you have done this thing?”
E Abrahamo rispose: “L’ho fatto, perché dicevo fra me: Certo, in questo luogo non c’è timor di Dio; e m’uccideranno a causa di mia moglie.
Y Abraham respondió: Porque dije para mí: Cierto no hay temor de Dios en este lugar, y me matarán por causa de mi mujer.
And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

Or quando Iddio mi fece errare lungi dalla casa di mio padre, io le dissi: Questo è il favore che tu mi farai; dovunque, giungeremo dirai di me: E’ mio fratello”.
Y fué que, cuando Dios me hizo salir errante de la casa de mi padre, yo le dije: Esta es la merced que tú me harás, que en todos los lugares donde llegáremos, digas de mí: Mi hermano es.
And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

E Abimelec prese delle pecore, de’ buoi, de’ servi e delle serve, e li diede ad Abrahamo, e gli restituì Sara sua moglie. E Abimelec disse:
Entonces Abimelech tomó ovejas y vacas, y siervos y siervas, y diólo á Abraham, y devolvióle á Sara su mujer.
And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

“Ecco, il mio paese ti sta dinanzi; dimora dovunque ti piacerà”. E a Sara disse:
Y dijo Abimelech: He aquí mi tierra está delante de ti, habita donde bien te pareciere.
And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
Abimelech said, “Behold, my land is before you. Dwell where it pleases you.”
“Ecco, io ho dato tuo fratello mille pezzi d’argento; questo ti sarà un velo sugli occhi di fronte a tutti quelli che sono teco, e sarai giustificata dinanzi a tutti”.
Y á Sara dijo: He aquí he dado mil monedas de plata á tu hermano; mira que él te es por velo de ojos para todos los que están contigo, y para con todos: así fué reprendida.
And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
To Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”
E Abrahamo pregò Dio, e Dio guarì Abimelec, la moglie e le serve di lui, ed esse poteron partorire.
Entonces Abraham oró á Dios; y Dios sanó á Abimelech y á su mujer, y á sus siervas, y parieron.
So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
Abraham prayed to God. So God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.
Poiché l’Eterno avea del tutto resa sterile l’intera casa di Abimelec, a motivo di Sara moglie di Abrahamo.
Porque había del todo cerrado Jehová toda matriz de la casa de Abimelech, á causa de Sara mujer de Abraham.
For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.
For the LORD had closed up tight all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.
