1Im Anfang schuf Gott den Himmel und die Erde.
2Es war aber die Erde wüste und leer und Finsternis lag auf dem Ozean und der Geist Gottes schwebte über dem Gewässer.
3Da sprach Gott: Es werde Licht! Und es ward Licht.
4Und Gott sah, daß das Licht gut war, und Gott trennte das Licht von der Finsternis.
5Und Gott nannte das Licht Tag, die Finsternis aber nannte er Nacht. Und es wurde Abend und wurde Morgen, der erste Tag.
6Da sprach Gott: Es werde ein Veste inmitten der Gewässer und bilde eine Scheidewand zwischen den verschiedenen Gewässern. Und es geschah so.
7Da machte Gott die Veste als eine Scheidewand zwischen den Gewässern unterhalb der Veste und den Gewässern oberhalb der Veste.
8Und Gott nannte die Veste Himmel. Und es wurde Abend und wurde Morgen, der zweite Tag.
9Da sprach Gott: Es sammle sich das Wasser unterhalb des Himmels an einen Ort, so daß das Trockene sichtbar wird. Und es geschah so.
10Und Gott nannte das Trockene Erde, die Ansammlung der Gewässer aber nannte er Meer. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
11Da sprach Gott: Die Erde lasse junges Grün sprossen, samentragende Pflanzen und Fruchtbäume, welche je nach ihrer Art Früchte auf Erden erzeugen, in denen sich Same zu ihnen befindet. Und es geschah so.
12Da ließ die Erde junges Grün aufgehen, samentragende Pflanzen je nach ihrer Art und Bäume, welche Früchte trugen, in denen sich Same zu ihnen befand, je nach ihrer Art. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
13Und es wurde Abend und wurde Morgen, der dritte Tag.
14Da sprach Gott: Es sollen Leuchten entstehen an der Veste des Himmels, um den Tag und die Nacht von einander zu trennen, und sie sollen dienen zu Merkzeichen und zur Bestimmung von Zeiträumen und Tagen und Jahren.
15Und sie sollen dienen als Leuchten an der Veste des Himmels, um die Erde zu beleuchten. Und es geschah so.
16Da machte Gott die beiden großen Leuchten: die große Leuchte, damit sie bei Tage die Herrschaft führe, und die kleine Leuchte, damit sie bei Nacht die Herrschaft führe, dazu die Sterne.
17Und Gott setzte sie an die Veste des Himmels, damit sie die Erde beleuchteten
18und über den Tag und über die Nacht herrschten und das Licht und die Finsternis von einander trennten. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
19Und es wurde Abend und wurde Morgen, der vierte Tag.
20Da sprach Gott: Es wimmle das Wasser von Gewimmel lebendiger Wesen, und Vögel sollen über der Erde hinfliegen an der Veste des Himmels.
21Da schuf Gott die großen Seetiere und alle die lebenden Wesen, die sich herumtummeln, von denen das Wasser wimmelt, je nach ihrer Art, dazu alle geflügelten Tiere je nach ihrer Art. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
22Da segnete sie Gott und sprach: Seid fruchtbar und mehrt euch und bevölkert das Wasser im Meer, und auch die Vögel sollen sich mehren auf Erden.
23Und es wurde Abend und wurde Morgen, der fünfte Tag.
24Da sprach Gott: Die Erde bringe hervor lebendige Wesen je nach ihrer Art, Vieh und kriechende Tiere und wilde Tiere je nach ihrer Art. Und es geschah so.
25Da machte Gott die wilden Tiere je nach ihrer Art und das Vieh nach seiner Art und alle Tiere, die auf dem Boden kriechen, je nach ihrer Art. Und Gott sah, daß es gut war.
26Da sprach Gott: Laßt uns Menschen machen nach unserem Bilde, uns ähnlich, und sie sollen herrschen über die Fische im Meer und über die Vögel am Himmel und über das Vieh und über alle wilden Tiere und über alles Gewürm, das auf der Erde umherkriecht.
27Und Gott schuf den Menschen nach seinem Bilde - nach dem Bilde Gottes schuf er ihn; als Mann und Weib schuf er sie.
28Da segnete sie Gott, und Gott sprach zu ihnen: Seid fruchtbar und mehrt euch und bevölkert die Erde und macht sie euch unterthan und herrscht über die Fische im Meer und die Vögel am Himmel und über alles Getier, das sich auf Erden tummelt!
29Und Gott sprach: Hiermit weise ich euch alle samentragenden Pflanzen an, die allenthalben auf Erden wachsen, dazu alle Bäume mit samenhaltigen Früchten - das sei eure Nahrung!
30Dagegen allen Tieren auf der Erde und allen Vögeln am Himmel und allem, was auf Erden kriecht, was da beseelt ist, bestimme ich alles Gras und Kraut zur Nahrung. Und es geschah so.
31Und Gott sah, daß alles, was er gemacht, sehr gut sei. Und es wurde Abend und wurde Morgen, der sechste Tag.

2Y la tierra estaba desordenada y vacía, y las tinieblas estaban sobre la haz del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la haz de las aguas.
3Y dijo Dios: Sea la luz: y fué la luz.
4Y vió Dios que la luz era buena: y apartó Dios la luz de las tinieblas.
5Y llamó Dios á la luz Día, y á las tinieblas llamó Noche: y fué la tarde y la mañana un día.
6Y dijo Dios: Haya expansión en medio de las aguas, y separe las aguas de las aguas.
7E hizo Dios la expansión, y apartó las aguas que estaban debajo de la expansión, de las aguas que estaban sobre la expansión: y fué así.
8Y llamó Dios á la expansión Cielos: y fué la tarde y la mañana el día segundo.
9Y dijo Dios: Júntense las aguas que están debajo de los cielos en un lugar, y descúbrase la seca: y fué así.
10Y llamó Dios á la seca Tierra, y á la reunión de las aguas llamó Mares: y vió Dios que era bueno.
11Y dijo Dios: Produzca la tierra hierba verde, hierba que dé simiente; árbol de fruto que dé fruto según su género, que su simiente esté en él, sobre la tierra: y fué así.
12Y produjo la tierra hierba verde, hierba que da simiente según su naturaleza, y árbol que da fruto, cuya simiente está en él, según su género: y vió Dios que era bueno.
13Y fué la tarde y la mañana el día tercero.
14Y dijo Dios: Sean lumbreras en la expansión de los cielos para apartar el día y la noche: y sean por señales, y para las estaciones, y para días y años;
15Y sean por lumbreras en la expansión de los cielos para alumbrar sobre la tierra: y fué así.
16E hizo Dios las dos grandes lumbreras; la lumbrera mayor para que señorease en el día, y la lumbrera menor para que señorease en la noche: hizo también las estrellas.
17Y púsolas Dios en la expansión de los cielos, para alumbrar sobre la tierra,
18Y para señorear en el día y en la noche, y para apartar la luz y las tinieblas: y vió Dios que era bueno.
19Y fué la tarde y la mañana el día cuarto.
20Y dijo Dios: Produzcan las aguas reptil de ánima viviente, y aves que vuelen sobre la tierra, en la abierta expansión de los cielos.
21Y crió Dios las grandes ballenas, y toda cosa viva que anda arrastrando, que las aguas produjeron según su género, y toda ave alada según su especie: y vió Dios que era bueno.
22Y Dios los bendijo diciendo: Fructificad y multiplicad, y henchid las aguas en los mares, y las aves se multipliquen en la tierra.
23Y fué la tarde y la mañana el día quinto.
24Y dijo Dios: Produzca la tierra seres vivientes según su género, bestias y serpientes y animales de la tierra según su especie: y fué así.
25E hizo Dios animales de la tierra según su género, y ganado según su género, y todo animal que anda arrastrando sobre la tierra según su especie: y vió Dios que era bueno.
26Y dijo Dios: Hagamos al hombre á nuestra imagen, conforme á nuestra semejanza; y señoree en los peces de la mar, y en las aves de los cielos, y en las bestias, y en toda la tierra, y en todo animal que anda arrastrando sobre la tierra.
27Y crió Dios al hombre á su imagen, á imagen de Dios lo crió; varón y hembra los crió.
28Y los bendijo Dios; y díjoles Dios: Fructificad y multiplicad, y henchid la tierra, y sojuzgadla, y señoread en los peces de la mar, y en las aves de los cielos, y en todas las bestias que se mueven sobre la tierra.
29Y dijo Dios: He aquí que os he dado toda hierba que da simiente, que está sobre la haz de toda la tierra; y todo árbol en que hay fruto de árbol que da simiente, seros ha para comer.
30Y á toda bestia de la tierra, y á todas las aves de los cielos, y á todo lo que se mueve sobre la tierra, en que hay vida, toda hierba verde les será para comer: y fué así.
31Y vió Dios todo lo que había hecho, y he aquí que era bueno en gran manera. Y fué la tarde y la mañana el día sexto.

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

1In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
2The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
3God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.
5God called the light “day”, and the darkness he called “night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.
6God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
7God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
8God called the expanse “sky”. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so.
10God called the dry land “earth”, and the gathering together of the waters he called “seas”. God saw that it was good.
11God said, “Let the earth yield grass, herbs yielding seeds, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with their seeds in it, on the earth;” and it was so.

21God created the large sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good.
22God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
23There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so.
25God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good.
26God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.
28God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.
30To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so.
31God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.
