1And it chaunsed within a while that Amraphel kynge of Synear Arioch kynge of Ellasar Kedorlaomer kynge of Elam and Thydeall kynge of the nations:
2made warre wyth Bera kynge of Sodoh and with Birsa kynge of Gomorra. And wythe Sineab kynge of Adama and with Semeaber kynge of Zeboim and wyth the kynge of Bela Which Bela is called Zoar.
3All these came together vnto the vale of siddim which is now the salt see
4Twelve yere were they subiecte to kinge kedorlaomer and in the .xiij. yere rebelled.
5Therfore in the .xiiij. yere came kedorlaomer and the kynges that were wyth hym and smote the Raphayms in Astarath Karnaim and the Susims in Hain ad the Emyms in Sabe Kariathaim
6and the Hozyms in their awne mounte Seir vnto the playne of Pharan which bordreth vpon the wyldernesse.
7And then turned they and came to the well of iugmente which is Cades and smote all the contre of the Amalechites and also the amorytes that dwell in Hazezon Thamar.
8Than went out the kynge of Sodome and the kynge of Gomorra and the kinge of Adama and the kynge of Zeboijm and the kynge of Bela now called Zoar. And sette their men in aray to fyghte wyth them in the vale of siddim that is to say
9wyth kedorlaomer the kynge of Elam and with Thydeall kynge of the Nations and wyth Amraphel kynge of Synear. And with Arioch kynge of Ellasar: foure kynges agenste v.
10And that vale of siddim was full of slyme pyttes.And the kynges of Sodome and Gomorra fled and fell there. And the resydue fled to the mountaynes.
11And they toke all the goodes of Sodome and Gomorra and all their vitalles ad went their waye.
12And they toke Lot also Abrams brothers sonne and his good (for he dwelled at Sodome) and departed:
13Than came one that had escaped and tolde Abram the hebrue which dwelled in the okegrove of Mamre the Amoryte brother of Eschol and Aner: which were confederate wyth Abram.
14When Abram herde that his brother was taken he harnessed his seruantes borne in his owne house .iij. hundred and .xviij. ad folowed tyll they came at Dan.
15And sette hymselfe ad his seruantes in aray and fell vpon them by nyght and smote them and chased them awaye vnto Hoba: which lyeth on the lefte hande of Damascos
16and broughte agayne all the goodes and also his brother Lot ad his goodes the weme also and the people.
17And as he retourned agayne from the slaughter of kedorlaomer and of the kynges that were with hym than came the kynge of Sodome agaynst hym vnto the vale of Saue which now is called kynges dale.
18Than Melchisedech kinge of Salem brought forth breed and wyne. And he beynge the prest of the most hyghest God
19blessed hym saynge. Blessed be Abram vnto the most hyghest God possessor of heauen and erth.
20And blessed be God the most hyghest which hath delyvered thyne enimies in to thy handes. And Abra gaue hym tythes of all.
21Than sayd the kynge of Sodome vnto Abram: gyue me the soulles and take the goodes to thy selfe.
22And Abram answered the kynge of Sodome: I lyfte vpp my hande vnto the LORde God most hygh possessor of heaven ad erth
23that I will not take of all yt is thyne so moch as a thred or a shoulacher lest thou shuldest saye I haue made Abra ryche.
24Saue only that which the yonge men haue eaten ad the partes of the men which went wyth me. Aner Escholl and Mamre. Let them take their partes.

1Y ACONTECIÓ en los días de Amraphel, rey de Shinar, Arioch, rey de Elazar, Chêdorlaomer, rey de Elá, y Tidal, rey de naciones,
2Que éstos hicieron guerra contra Bera, rey de Sodoma, y contra Birsha, rey de Gomorra, y contra Shinab, rey de Adma, y contra Shemeber, rey de Zeboim, y contra el rey de Bela, la cual es Zoar.
3Todos estos se juntaron en el valle de Siddim, que es el mar salado.
4Doce años habían servido á Chêdorlaomer, y al décimotercio año se rebelaron.
5Y en el año décimocuarto vino Chêdorlaomer, y los reyes que estaban de su parte, y derrotaron á los Raphaitas en Ashteroth-carnaim, á los Zuzitas en Ham, y á los Emitas en Shave-Kiriataim.
6Y á los Horeos en el monte de Seir, hasta la llanura de Parán, que está junto al desierto.
7Y volvieron, y vinieron á Emmisphat, que es Cades, y devastaron todas las haciendas de los Amalecitas, y también al Amorrheo, que habitaba en Hazezón-tamar.
8Y salió el rey de Sodoma, y el rey de Gomorra, y el rey de Adma, y el rey de Zeboim, y el rey de Bela, que es Zoar, y ordenaron contra ellos batalla en el valle de Siddim;
9Es á saber, contra Chêdorlaomer, rey de Elam, y Tidal, rey de naciones, y Amraphel, rey de Shinar, y Arioch, rey de Elasar; cuatro reyes contra cinco.
10Y el valle de Siddim estaba lleno de pozos de betún: y huyeron el rey de Sodoma y el de Gomorra, y cayeron allí; y los demás huyeron al monte.
11Y tomaron toda la riqueza de Sodoma y de Gomorra, y todas sus vituallas, y se fueron.
12Tomaron también á Lot, hijo del hermano de Abram, que moraba en Sodoma, y su hacienda, y se fueron.
13Y vino uno de los que escaparon, y denunciólo á Abram el Hebreo, que habitaba en el valle de Mamre Amorrheo, hermano de Eschôl y hermano de Aner, los cuales estaban confederados con Abram.
14Y oyó Abram que su hermano estaba prisionero, y armó sus criados, los criados de su casa, trescientos dieciocho, y siguiólos hasta Dan.
15Y derramóse sobre ellos de noche él y sus siervos, é hiriólos, y fuélos siguiendo hasta Hobah, que está á la izquierda de Damasco.
16Y recobró todos los bienes, y también á Lot su hermano y su hacienda, y también las mujeres y gente.
17Y salió el rey de Sodoma á recibirlo, cuando volvía de la derrota de Chêdorlaomer y de los reyes que con él estaban, al valle de Shave, que es el valle del Rey.
18Entonces Melchîsedec, rey de Salem, sacó pan y vino; el cual era sacerdote del Dios alto;
19Y bendíjole, y dijo: Bendito sea Abram del Dios alto, poseedor de los cielos y de la tierra;
20Y bendito sea el Dios alto, que entregó tus enemigos en tu mano. Y dióle Abram los diezmos de todo.
21Entonces el rey de Sodoma dijo á Abram: Dame las personas, y toma para ti la hacienda.
22Y respondió Abram al rey de Sodoma: He alzado mi mano á Jehová Dios alto, poseedor de los cielos y de la tierra,
23Que desde un hilo hasta la correa de un calzado, nada tomaré de todo lo que es tuyo, porque no digas: Yo enriquecí á Abram:
24Sacando solamente lo que comieron los mancebos, y la porción de los varones que fueron conmigo, Aner, Eschôl, y Mamre; los cuales tomarán su parte.

1And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
2That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness.
7And they returned, and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon-tamar.
8And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;
9With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.
10And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
11And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
12And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
24Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

1In the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar; Arioch, king of Ellasar; Chedorlaomer, king of Elam; and Tidal, king of Goiim,
2they made war with Bera, king of Sodom; Birsha, king of Gomorrah; Shinab, king of Admah; Shemeber, king of Zeboiim; and the king of Bela (also called Zoar).
3All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (also called the Salt Sea).
4They served Chedorlaomer for twelve years, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El Paran, which is by the wilderness.
7They returned, and came to En Mishpat (also called Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.
8The king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (also called Zoar) went out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim
9against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
10Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and some fell there. Those who remained fled to the hills.
11They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.
12They took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. They were allies of Abram.
14When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led out his three hundred eighteen trained men, born in his house, and pursued as far as Dan.
15He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative Lot and his goods, and the women also, and the other people.
17The king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High.
19He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth.
20Blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.”
22Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to the LORD, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
23that I will not take a thread nor a sandal strap nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’
24I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”
