9Car nous sommes des esclaves mais dans notre esclavage, notre Dieu ne nous a pas abandonnés: il nous a concilié la bienveillance des rois de Perse pour qu'ils raniment notre vigueur, relèvent la maison de notre Dieu, en réparent les ruines et nous concèdent un sûr abri en Judée et à Jérusalem.

9Porque siervos éramos: mas en nuestra servidumbre no nos desamparó nuestro Dios, antes inclinó sobre nosotros misericordia delante de los reyes de Persia, para que se nos diese vida para alzar la casa de nuestro Dios, y para hacer restaurar sus asolamientos, y para darnos vallado en Judá y en Jerusalem.

9For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
