23Sobald hierauf die Abschrift des Erlasses des Königs Arthasastha vor Rehum und dem Staatsschreiber Simsai und ihren Genossen verlesen worden war, begaben sie sich eiligst nach Jerusalem zu den Juden und zwangen sie unter rücksichtsloser Anwendung von Gewalt zur Einstellung des Baues.
