1Jahwe aber erwiderte Mose: Ich will dich für den Pharao wie zu einem Gotte machen; dein Bruder Aaron aber soll dein Sprecher sein.
2Du sollst alles, was ich dir sage, weiter berichten; dein Bruder Aaron aber soll es dem Pharao vortragen, damit er die Israeliten aus seinem Lande wegziehen läßt.
3Ich aber will den Sinn des Pharao verhärten und will zahlreiche Zeichen und Wunderthaten in Ägypten verrichten.
4Der Pharao jedoch wird euch kein Gehör geben; dann will ich Hand anlegen an die Ägypter und meine Heerescharen, mein Volk, die Israeliten, unter großartigen Machtbeweisen aus Ägypten hinwegführen.
5Dann sollen die Ägypter erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin, wenn ich die Ägypter meine Macht fühlen lasse und die Israeliten aus ihrer Mitte hinwegführe.
6Da thaten Mose und Aaron, wie ihnen Jahwe befohlen hatte; also thaten sie.
7Mose aber war achtzig Jahre und Aaron dreiundachtzig Jahre alt, als sie mit dem Pharao verhandelten.
8Hierauf sprach Jahwe zu Mose und Aaron also:
9Wenn euch der Pharao auffordert: verrichtet ein Wunder! so sollst du Aaron gebieten: Auf, wirf deinen Stab vor den Pharao hin, so wird er sich in eine große Schlange verwandeln.
10Da begaben sich Mose und Aaron zum Pharao hinein und thaten so, wie Jahwe geboten hatte: Aaron warf seinen Stab vor dem Pharao und seinen Höflingen hin, da verwandelte er sich in eine große Schlange.
11Der Pharao aber ließ die Gelehrten und Zaubereikundigen rufen; da machten sie, die Zauberer von Ägypten, mittels ihrer Geheimkünste es ebenso:
12ein jeder warf seinen Stab hin, da verwandelten sich diese in große Schlangen; jedoch der Stab Aarons verschlang ihre Stäbe.
13Aber der Sinn des Pharao blieb verhärtet, und er willfahrte ihnen nicht, wie Jahwe vorausgesagt hatte.
14Hierauf sprach Jahwe zu Mose: Der Sinn des Pharao ist verstockt; er weigert sich, das Volk ziehen zu lassen.
15Begieb dich morgen früh zum Pharao und tritt ihm, wenn er hingeht ans Wasser, am Ufer des Nils entgegen mit dem Stabe, der sich in eine Schlange verwandelt hat, in der Hand,
16und sprich zu ihm: Jahwe, der Gott der Hebräer, hat mich zu dir gesandt, um dich aufzufordern: laß mein Volk ziehen, damit sie mich in der Steppe verehren. Aber du hast bis jetzt nicht gehorcht.
17So spricht Jahwe: Daran sollst du erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin: ich werde mit dem Stabe, den ich in der Hand habe, ins Wasser des Nils schlagen, so soll es sich in Blut verwandeln.
18Die Fische aber die im Nile sind, sollen umkommen, und der Nil soll stinken, so daß es die Ägypter ekeln wird, Wasser aus dem Nile zu trinken.
19Da sprach Jahwe zu Mose: Befiehl Aaron: Nimm deinen Stab und recke deine Hand aus über die Gewässer Ägyptens, über seine Bäche, Kanäle, Teiche und alle Behälter mit Wasser: es soll zu Blut werden, und Blut soll entstehen in ganz Ägypten, sowohl in hölzernen als in steinernen Gefäßen.
20Da thaten Mose und Aaron so, wie ihnen Jahwe geboten hatte. Und er hob den Stab und schlug damit das Wasser im Nil vor den Augen des Pharao und seiner Höflinge: da verwandelte sich alles Wasser, das im Nil war, in Blut.
21Und die Fische im Nil kamen um und der Nil wurde stinkend, so daß die Ägypter kein Wasser aus dem Nile mehr trinken konnten. Da entstand Blut überall in Ägypten.
22Die Zauberer Ägyptens aber brachten mittels ihrer Geheimkünste dasselbe zustande. Da blieb der Sinn des Pharao verhärtet, und er willfahrte ihnen nicht, wie Jahwe vorausgesagt hatte.
23Da wandte sich der Pharao ab und begab sich nach Hause, ohne daß er selbst dies zu Herzen nahm.
24Die Ägypter aber gruben insgesamt in der Umgebung des Nils nach Wasser, um es zu trinken, denn sie konnten das Wasser des Nils nicht trinken.
25Und die Plage, welche Jahwe mit dem Nil eintreten ließ, währte sieben volle Tage.
26Hierauf befahl Jahwe Mose: Begieb dich zum Pharao und kündige ihm an: So spricht Jahwe: Laß mein Volk ziehen, damit es mich verehre!
27Wenn du dich aber weigerst, es ziehen zu lassen, so werde ich über dein ganzes Land eine Froschplage bringen.
28Und im Nile soll's wimmeln von Fröschen, und sie sollen herauskommen und bis in deinen Palast und in dein Schlafgemach und auf dein Ruhelager dringen, sowie in die Wohnungen deiner Höflinge und deiner Unterthanen, auch in deine Backöfen und deine Teigmulden,
29ja an dich selbst, deine Unterthanen und alle deine Höflinge sollen die Frösche herankriechen.

1Y JEHOVÁ dijo á Moisés: Mira, yo te he constituído dios para Faraón, y tu hermano Aarón será tu profeta.
2Tú dirás todas las cosas que yo te mandaré, y Aarón tu hermano hablará á Faraón, para que deje ir de su tierra á los hijos de Israel.
3Y yo endureceré el corazón de Faraón, y multiplicaré en la tierra de Egipto mis señales y mis maravillas.
4Y Faraón no os oirá; mas yo pondré mi mano sobre Egipto, y sacaré á mis ejércitos, mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de la tierra de Egipto, con grandes juicios.
5Y sabrán los Egipcios que yo soy Jehová, cuando extenderé mi mano sobre Egipto, y sacaré los hijos de Israel de en medio de ellos.
6E hizo Moisés y Aarón como Jehová les mandó: hiciéronlo así.
7Y era Moisés de edad de ochenta años, y Aarón de edad de ochenta y tres, cuando hablaron á Faraón.
8Y habló Jehová á Moisés y á Aarón, diciendo:
9Si Faraón os respondiere diciendo, Mostrad milagro; dirás á Aarón: Toma tu vara, y échala delante de Faraón, para que se torne culebra.
10Vinieron, pues, Moisés y Aarón á Faraón, é hicieron como Jehová lo había mandado: y echó Aarón su vara delante de Faraón y de sus siervos, y tornóse culebra.
11Entonces llamó también Faraón sabios y encantadores; é hicieron también lo mismo los encantadores de Egipto con sus encantamientos;
12Pues echó cada uno su vara, las cuales se volvieron culebras: mas la vara de Aarón devoró las varas de ellos.
13Y el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no los escuchó; como Jehová lo había dicho.
14Entonces Jehová dijo á Moisés: El corazón de Faraón está agravado, que no quiere dejar ir al pueblo.
15Ve por la mañana á Faraón, he aquí que él sale á las aguas; y tú ponte á la orilla del río delante de él, y toma en tu mano la vara que se volvió culebra,
16Y dile: Jehová el Dios de los Hebreos me ha enviado á ti, diciendo: Deja ir á mi pueblo, para que me sirvan en el desierto; y he aquí que hasta ahora no has querido oir.
17Así ha dicho Jehová: En esto conocerás que yo soy Jehová: he aquí, yo heriré con la vara que tengo en mi mano el agua que está en el río, y se convertirá en sangre:
18Y los peces que hay en el río morirán, y hederá el río, y tendrán asco los Egipcios de beber el agua del río.
19Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Di á Aarón: Toma tu vara, y extiende tu mano sobre las aguas de Egipto, sobre sus ríos, sobre sus arroyos y sobre sus estanques, y sobre todos sus depósitos de aguas, para que se conviertan en sangre, y haya sangre por toda la región de Egipto, así en los vasos de madera como en los de piedra.
20Y Moisés y Aarón hicieron como Jehová lo mandó; y alzando la vara hirió las aguas que había en el río, en presencia de Faraón y de sus siervos; y todas las aguas que había en el río se convirtieron en sangre.
21Asimismo los peces que había en el río murieron; y el río se corrompió, que los Egipcios no podían beber de él: y hubo sangre por toda la tierra de Egipto.
22Y los encantadores de Egipto hicieron lo mismo con sus encantamientos: y el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no los escuchó; como Jehová lo había dicho.
23Y tornando Faraón volvióse á su casa, y no puso su corazón aun en esto.
24Y en todo Egipto hicieron pozos alrededor del río para beber, porque no podían beber de las aguas del río.
25Y cumpliéronse siete días después que Jehová hirió el río.

1And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
7And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
10And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
13And he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
14And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
22And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.
23And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
24And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.

1The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I have made you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.
2You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
3I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4But Pharaoh will not listen to you, so I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring out my armies, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand on Egypt, and bring the children of Israel out from among them.”
6Moses and Aaron did so. As the LORD commanded them, so they did.
7Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

10Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as the LORD had commanded. Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

16You shall tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. Behold, until now you haven’t listened.”
17The LORD says, “In this you shall know that I am the LORD. Behold: I will strike with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18The fish that are in the river will die and the river will become foul. The Egyptians will loathe to drink water from the river.”’”
19The LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood. There will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”
20Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21The fish that were in the river died. The river became foul. The Egyptians couldn’t drink water from the river. The blood was throughout all the land of Egypt.
22The magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their enchantments. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as the LORD had spoken.
23Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he didn’t even take this to heart.
24All the Egyptians dug around the river for water to drink; for they couldn’t drink the river water.
25Seven days were fulfilled, after the LORD had struck the river.
