Después se presentaron Moisés y Aarón al Faraón y le dijeron: “Así dice Yahvé, el Dios de Israel: Deja marchar a mi pueblo, para que me celebre una fiesta en el desierto.”
DESPUÉS entraron Moisés y Aarón á Faraón, y le dijeron: Jehová, el Dios de Israel, dice así: Deja ir á mi pueblo á celebrarme fiesta en el desierto.
And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”
A lo cual respondió el Faraón: “¿Quién es Yahvé para que yo escuche su voz y deje ir a Israel? No conozco a Yahvé, y no dejaré salir a Israel.”
Y Faraón respondió: ¿Quién es Jehová, para que yo oiga su voz y deje ir á Israel? Yo no conozco á Jehová, ni tampoco dejaré ir á Israel.
And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should listen to his voice to let Israel go? I don’t know the LORD, and moreover I will not let Israel go.”
Ellos dijeron: “El Dios de los hebreos se nos ha manifestado; permite, pues, que vayamos camino de tres días al desierto para ofrecer sacrificios a Yahvé, nuestro Dios, no sea que nos castigue con peste y espada.”
Y ellos dijeron: El Dios de los Hebreos nos ha encontrado: iremos, pues, ahora camino de tres días por el desierto, y sacrificaremos á Jehová nuestro Dios; porque no venga sobre nosotros con pestilencia ó con espada.
And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
They said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD, our God, lest he fall on us with pestilence, or with the sword.”
EI rey de Egipto les replicó: “¿Por qué vosotros, Moisés y Aarón, distraéis al pueblo de sus trabajos? Idos a vuestras cargas.”
Entonces el rey de Egipto les dijo: Moisés y Aarón, ¿por qué hacéis cesar al pueblo de su obra? idos á vuestros cargos.
And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
The king of Egypt said to them, “Why do you, Moses and Aaron, take the people from their work? Get back to your burdens!”
Y agregó el Faraón: “He aquí que el pueblo de esa región es ahora numeroso y vosotros lo hacéis descansar de sus cargas.”
Dijo también Faraón: He aquí el pueblo de la tierra es ahora mucho, y vosotros les hacéis cesar de sus cargos.
And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
Pharaoh said, “Behold, the people of the land are now many, and you make them rest from their burdens.”
Aquel mismo día el Faraón dio a los sobrestantes del pueblo y a los escribas esta orden:
Y mandó Faraón aquel mismo día á los cuadrilleros del pueblo que le tenían á su cargo, y á sus gobernadores, diciendo:
And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
The same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying,
“No deis ya, como antes, al pueblo paja, para hacer ladrillos; que vayan ellos mismos a recoger paja.
De aquí adelante no daréis paja al pueblo para hacer ladrillo, como ayer y antes de ayer; vayan ellos y recojan por sí mismos la paja:
Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
“You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick, as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves.
Pero exigidles la misma cantidad de ladrillos que hacían antes, sin rebajarla; pues son perezosos; por eso claman diciendo: Vamos a ofrecer sacrificios a nuestro Dios.
Y habéis de ponerles la tarea del ladrillo que hacían antes, y no les disminuiréis nada; porque están ociosos, y por eso levantan la voz diciendo: Vamos y sacrificaremos á nuestro Dios.
And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
You shall require from them the number of the bricks which they made before. You shall not diminish anything of it, for they are idle. Therefore they cry, saying, ‘Let’s go and sacrifice to our God.’
Agrávense los trabajos sobre estos hombres, para que estén ocupados y no pierdan el tiempo con palabras mentirosas.”
Agrávese la servidumbre sobre ellos, para que se ocupen en ella, y no atiendan á palabras de mentira.
Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.
Let heavier work be laid on the men, that they may labor in it. Don’t let them pay any attention to lying words.”
Fueron, pues, los sobrestantes del pueblo y los escribas, y hablaron al pueblo diciendo: “Esto dice el Faraón: No os daré más paja;
Y saliendo los cuadrilleros del pueblo y sus gobernadores, hablaron al pueblo, diciendo: Así ha dicho Faraón: Yo no os doy paja.
And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
The taskmasters of the people went out with their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, “This is what Pharaoh says: ‘I will not give you straw.
id vosotros mismos a juntar la paja donde podáis hallarla; pero vuestro trabajo no se disminuirá en nada.”
Id vosotros, y recoged paja donde la hallareis; que nada se disminuirá de vuestra tarea.
Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
Go yourselves, get straw where you can find it, for nothing of your work shall be diminished.’”
Se esparció el pueblo por todo el país de Egipto a buscar rastrojo para emplearlo en lugar de paja.
Entonces el pueblo se derramó por toda la tierra de Egipto á coger rastrojo en lugar de paja.
So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

Y los sobrestantes los apremiaban, diciendo: “Terminad vuestro trabajo que os ha sido fijado para cada día, como cuando había paja.”
Y los cuadrilleros los apremiaban, diciendo: Acabad vuestra obra, la tarea del día en su día, como cuando se os daba paja.
And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
The taskmasters were urgent saying, “Fulfill your work quota daily, as when there was straw!”
Y los escribas de los hijos de Israel, a quienes los sobrestantes del Faraón habían puesto sobre ellos, fueron castigados, diciéndoseles: “¿Por qué no habéis hecho, ni ayer ni hoy, la misma cantidad de ladrillos que antes?”
Y azotaban á los capataces de los hijos de Israel, que los cuadrilleros de Faraón habían puesto sobre ellos, diciendo: ¿Por qué no habéis cumplido vuestra tarea de ladrillo ni ayer ni hoy, como antes?
And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
The officers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and were asked, “Why haven’t you fulfilled your quota both yesterday and today, in making brick as before?”
Fueron entonces los escribas de los hijos de Israel y clamaron al Faraón, diciendo: “¿Por qué tratas así a tus siervos?
Y los capataces de los hijos de Israel vinieron á Faraón, y se quejaron á él, diciendo: ¿Por qué lo haces así con tus siervos?
Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?
Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, “Why do you deal this way with your servants?
No se da paja a tus siervos y se nos dice: Haced ladrillos. Y he aquí que tus siervos son castigados, siendo tu propio pueblo el que tiene la culpa.”
No se da paja á tus siervos, y con todo nos dicen: Haced el ladrillo. Y he aquí tus siervos son azotados, y tu pueblo cae en falta.
There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.
No straw is given to your servants, and they tell us, ‘Make brick!’ and behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.”
Él respondió: “Haraganes sois, grandes haraganes; por eso decís: Vamos a ofrecer sacrificios a Yahvé.
Y él respondió: Estáis ociosos, sí, ociosos, y por eso decís: Vamos y sacrifiquemos á Jehová.
But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.
But Pharaoh said, “You are idle! You are idle! Therefore you say, ‘Let’s go and sacrifice to the LORD.’
Id, pues, y trabajad; no se os dará paja, y habéis de entregar la cantidad fijada de ladrillos.”
Id pues ahora, y trabajad. No se os dará paja, y habéis de dar la tarea del ladrillo.
Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
Go therefore now, and work; for no straw shall be given to you; yet you shall deliver the same number of bricks!”
Los escribas de los hijos de Israel se vieron en grandes angustias, puesto que les fue dicho: “No disminuiréis (la cantidad) de vuestros ladrillos; ¡la obra de cada día en su día!”
Entonces los capataces de los hijos de Israel se vieron en aflicción, habiéndoseles dicho: No se disminuirá nada de vuestro ladrillo, de la tarea de cada día.
And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
The officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble when it was said, “You shall not diminish anything from your daily quota of bricks!”
Se encontraron con Moisés y Aarón, que les estaban esperando cuando salieron de la presencia del Faraón,
Y encontrando á Moisés y á Aarón, que estaban á la vista de ellos cuando salían de Faraón,
And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
They met Moses and Aaron, who stood along the way, as they came out from Pharaoh.
y les dijeron: “Que Yahvé os vea y que Él juzgue por qué nos habéis hecho odiosos al Faraón y a sus siervos y puesto la espada en sus manos para matarnos.”
Dijéronles: Mire Jehová sobre vosotros, y juzgue; pues habéis hecho heder nuestro olor delante de Faraón y de sus siervos, dándoles el cuchillo en las manos para que nos maten.
And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
They said to them, “May the LORD look at you and judge, because you have made us a stench to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us!”
Se volvió entonces Moisés a Yahvé y dijo: “Señor, ¿por qué has hecho mal a este pueblo? ¿Con qué fin me has enviado?
Entonces Moisés se volvió á Jehová, y dijo: Señor, ¿por qué afliges á este pueblo? ¿para qué me enviaste?
And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
Moses returned to the LORD, and said, “Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Why is it that you have sent me?
Pues desde que fui al Faraón para hablarle en tu nombre, está maltratando a este pueblo, y Tú de ninguna manera has librado a tu pueblo.”
Porque desde que yo vine á Faraón para hablarle en tu nombre, ha afligido á este pueblo; y tú tampoco has librado á tu pueblo.
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people. You have not rescued your people at all!”
