Non continuate più a dar della paglia a questo popolo, per fare i mattoni, come avete fatto per addietro; vadano essi medesimi, e raccolgansi della paglia.

De aquí adelante no daréis paja al pueblo para hacer ladrillo, como ayer y antes de ayer; vayan ellos y recojan por sí mismos la paja:

Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

“You shall no longer give the people straw to make brick, as before. Let them go and gather straw for themselves.
