So hieb er zwei Steintafeln wie die ersten zurecht. Und früh morgens stand Moses auf und bestieg den Berg Sinai, wie ihm der Herr befohlen, und nahm die zwei Steintafeln in seine Hand.

Dann neigte sich Moses eilends zu Boden und warf sich nieder und sprach:

Du sollst dich nicht vor einem anderen Gott niederwerfen! Der Herr heißt eifersüchtig. Ein eifersüchtiger Gott ist er.
