1»No acepten falsos rumores. »No cooperen con el malvado apoyando su testimonio, cuando sepan que es falso.
2»No sigan a las mayorías que intenten hacer mal. Cuando estén en el estrado de los testigos, no inclinen sus testimonios a favor de la mayoría presente ni hacia el pobre, por el simple hecho de ser pobre.

4»Si encuentran el buey o el burro extraviado de su enemigo, llévenselo a su dueño.
5Si ven que su enemigo trata de levantar su burro que ha caído bajo una pesada carga, deberán detenerse a ayudarle.
6»La pobreza del hombre no es razón para torcer la justicia en su contra.
7»Aléjense de todo intento de acusar a alguien falsamente. No permitan que un inocente sea condenado a muerte. Esto yo no lo toleraré.
8»No acepten soborno, porque los inclina hacia la parcialidad y daña la causa del inocente.
9»No oprimirán al extranjero, porque ustedes saben lo que es ser extranjero. Recuerden su experiencia en Egipto.
10»Sembrarán y cosecharán durante seis años,
11pero la tierra descansará durante el séptimo año, y los pobres del pueblo podrán espigar lo que salga espontáneamente; el resto lo dejarán para que coman los animales. Esta misma regla se aplica a sus viñedos y olivares.
12»Trabajarán seis días solamente y descansarán el séptimo. Esto es para dar descanso a su buey y su asno, a sus esclavos y al extranjero que viva con ustedes.
13»Obedezcan todas estas cosas, y recuerden que no deben ni siquiera mencionar el nombre de otro dios.
14»Deberán celebrar tres fiestas religiosas en el año.
15La primera es la de los Panes sin levadura. Durante siete días no comerán pan con levadura, conforme a lo que les he ordenado. Esta celebración será anual. La celebrarán en el mes de aviv, que fue el mes en que salieron de Egipto. Cada uno deberá ofrecerme algún sacrificio en esa fecha.
16»También celebrarán la fiesta de las Primicias, en la que me ofrecerán las primicias de la cosecha. Y finalmente, la fiesta de la Cosecha, cuando termine el trabajo de recolección de la cosecha.
17»Cada año, en estas tres fiestas, todo varón de Israel se presentará delante del Señor.
18»Ningún sacrificio de sangre será ofrecido con panes con levadura; no se dejará la grasa del animal sacrificado para ofrecerla al día siguiente.
19»Llevarán a la casa del Señor los primeros y mejores frutos de sus campos. »No cocerán el cabrito en la leche de su madre.
20»Miren, estoy enviando un ángel delante de ustedes, para que lleguen con seguridad a la tierra que les he preparado.
21Muéstrenle reverencia y obedezcan todas sus órdenes. No se rebelen contra él, porque él actúa en mi nombre, y no les perdonará sus faltas.
22Si le obedecen cuidadosamente y siguen todas sus instrucciones, yo seré enemigo de sus enemigos.
23Y mi ángel irá delante de ustedes y los conducirá a la tierra de los amorreos, de los ferezeos, de los hititas, de los cananeos, de los heveos y de los jebuseos, para que vivan en ella. Yo destruiré estos pueblos delante de ustedes.
24»No adorarán dioses de otras naciones ni les ofrecerán sacrificios; no deben imitar el ejemplo de esos pueblos paganos. Deben vencerlos completamente y destrozar todos sus ídolos vergonzosos.
25»Servirán al Señor su Dios solamente, y yo los bendeciré con alimentos y agua, y apartaré toda enfermedad de entre ustedes.
26No habrá abortos ni esterilidad en su tierra, y vivirán a plenitud todos los días de su vida.
27»El pánico del Señor caerá sobre las naciones que ustedes invadan, de modo que sus habitantes huirán delante de ustedes.
28»Enviaré delante de ustedes avispas que expulsen a los heveos, cananeos e hititas.
29No lo haré todo en un solo año, porque la tierra se convertiría en un desierto y los animales salvajes se multiplicarían, de manera que no se podrían dominar.
30Los expulsaré poco a poco, hasta que la población de ustedes haya crecido lo suficiente como para llenar la tierra.
31Los límites que les pondré serán desde el Mar Rojo hasta la costa de los filisteos, y desde el desierto hasta el río Éufrates. Haré que ustedes venzan a los pueblos que hoy viven en esa tierra, y los expulsen de la región.
32»No deberán hacer pacto con ellos, ni tendrán parte alguna con sus dioses.
33No dejen que vivan entre ustedes, porque yo sé que ellos los contaminarán con su pecado de adorar a dioses falsos, y eso sería la ruina de ustedes».

1NO admitirás falso rumor. No te concertarás con el impío para ser testigo falso.
2No seguirás á los muchos para mal hacer; ni responderás en litigio inclinándote á los más para hacer agravios;
3Ni al pobre distinguirás en su causa.
4Si encontrares el buey de tu enemigo ó su asno extraviado, vuelve á llevárselo.
5Si vieres el asno del que te aborrece caído debajo de su carga, ¿le dejarás entonces desamparado? Sin falta ayudarás con él á levantarlo.
6No pervertirás el derecho de tu mendigo en su pleito.
7De palabra de mentira te alejarás, y no matarás al inocente y justo; porque yo no justificaré al impío.
8No recibirás presente; porque el presente ciega á los que ven, y pervierte las palabras justas.
9Y no angustiarás al extranjero: pues vosotros sabéis cómo se halla el alma del extranjero, ya que extranjeros fuisteis en la tierra de Egipto.
10Seis años sembrarás tu tierra, y allegarás su cosecha:
11Mas el séptimo la dejarás vacante y soltarás, para que coman los pobres de tu pueblo; y de lo que quedare comerán las bestias del campo; así harás de tu viña y de tu olivar.
12Seis días harás tus negocios, y al séptimo día holgarás, á fin que descanse tu buey y tu asno, y tome refrigerio el hijo de tu sierva, y el extranjero.
13Y en todo lo que os he dicho seréis avisados. Y nombre de otros dioses no mentaréis, ni se oirá de vuestra boca.
14Tres veces en el año me celebraréis fiesta.
15La fiesta de los ázimos guardarás: siete días comerás los panes sin levadura, como yo te mandé, en el tiempo del mes de Abib; porque en él saliste de Egipto: y ninguno comparecerá vacío delante de mí:
16También la fiesta de la siega, los primeros frutos de tus labores que hubieres sembrado en el campo; y la fiesta de la cosecha á la salida del año, cuando habrás recogido tus labores del campo.
17Tres veces en el año parecerá todo varón tuyo delante del Señor Jehová.
18No ofrecerás con pan leudo la sangre de mi sacrificio; ni el sebo de mi víctima quedará de la noche hasta la mañana.
19Las primicias de los primeros frutos de tu tierra traerás á la casa de Jehová tu Dios. No guisarás el cabrito con la leche de su madre.
20He aquí yo envío el Angel delante de ti para que te guarde en el camino, y te introduzca en el lugar que yo he preparado.
21Guárdate delante de él, y oye su voz; no le seas rebelde; porque él no perdonará vuestra rebelión: porque mi nombre está en él.
22Pero si en verdad oyeres su voz, é hicieres todo lo que yo te dijere, seré enemigo á tus enemigos, y afligiré á los que te afligieren.
23Porque mi Angel irá delante de ti, y te introducirá al Amorrheo, y al Hetheo, y al Pherezeo, y al Cananeo, y al Heveo, y al Jebuseo, á los cuales yo haré destruir.
24No te inclinarás á sus dioses, ni los servirás, ni harás como ellos hacen; antes los destruirás del todo, y quebrantarás enteramente sus estatuas.
25Mas á Jehová vuestro Dios serviréis, y él bendecirá tu pan y tus aguas; y yo quitaré toda enfermedad de en medio de ti.
26No habrá mujer que aborte, ni estéril en tu tierra; y yo cumpliré el número de tus días.
27Yo enviaré mi terror delante de ti, y consternaré á todo pueblo donde tú entrares, y te daré la cerviz de todos tus enemigos.
28Yo enviaré la avispa delante de ti, que eche fuera al Heveo, y al Cananeo, y al Hetheo, de delante de ti:
29No los echaré de delante de ti en un año, porque no quede la tierra desierta, y se aumenten contra ti las bestias del campo.
30Poco á poco los echaré de delante de ti, hasta que te multipliques y tomes la tierra por heredad.
31Y yo pondré tu término desde el mar Bermejo hasta la mar de Palestina, y desde el desierto hasta el río: porque pondré en vuestras manos los moradores de la tierra, y tú los echarás de delante de ti.
32No harás alianza con ellos, ni con sus dioses.
33En tu tierra no habitarán, no sea que te hagan pecar contra mí sirviendo á sus dioses: porque te será de tropiezo.

1Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
3Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
4If thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
5If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
6Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
7Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
8And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
10And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
11But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
12Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
13And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
14Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
15Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
16And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
17Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
18Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
19The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
20Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
22But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
25And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
27I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
28And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
29I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
30By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
31And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
32Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

1“You shall not spread a false report. Don’t join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.
2“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil. You shall not testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice.
3You shall not favor a poor man in his cause.
4“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.
5If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him. You shall surely help him with it.
6“You shall not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.
7“Keep far from a false charge, and don’t kill the innocent and righteous; for I will not justify the wicked.
8“You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.
9“You shall not oppress an alien, for you know the heart of an alien, since you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
10“For six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in its increase,
11but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the animal of the field shall eat. In the same way, you shall deal with your vineyard and with your olive grove.
12“Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant, and the alien may be refreshed.
13“Be careful to do all things that I have said to you; and don’t invoke the name of other gods or even let them be heard out of your mouth.
14“You shall observe a feast to me three times a year.
15You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out of Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty.

22But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.
23For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.
24You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor follow their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them and demolish their pillars.
25You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
26No one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your days.
27I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
28I will send the hornet before you, which will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.
29I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the animals of the field multiply against you.
30Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and inherit the land.
31I will set your border from the Red Sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.
32You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
