8Que si elle n'a pas été agréable au maître après leurs fiançailles, il la laissera aller moyennant rançon ; mais il ne pourra la vendre chez une nation étrangère, sous prétexte qu'il aurait trouvé en elle un motif de répudiation.

8If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.

8If she doesn’t please her master, who has married her to himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt deceitfully with her.
