18O Monte Sinai foi completamente coberto com fumaça porque Yahweh havia descido sobre ele em fogo e fumaça. A fumaça subia como a de uma fornalha, e todo o monte estremecia violentamente.

18And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
