11Wiederum sah ich unter der Sonne, daß nicht die Schnellen über den Lauf verfügen, noch die Helden über den Krieg, noch auch die Weisen über das Brot, noch die Klugen über den Reichtum, noch die Verständigen über die Gunst, sondern Zeit und Geschick widerfährt ihnen allen.

11Tornéme, y vi debajo del sol, que ni es de los ligeros la carrera, ni la guerra de los fuertes, ni aun de los sabios el pan, ni de los prudentes las riquezas, ni de los elocuentes el favor; sino que tiempo y ocasión acontece á todos.
