"Nun höre, Israel, auf die Gesetze und Gebräuche, die ich euch befolgen lehre, auf daß ihr lebet und kommet und das Land besetzet, das der Herr, euer Gott, euch gibt!
AHORA pues, oh Israel, oye los estatutos y derechos que yo os enseño, para que los ejecutéis, y viváis, y entréis, y poseáis la tierra que Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres te da.
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

Ihr sollt nichts zu den Geboten, die ich euch gebe, hinzutun und nichts davon streichen! Befolgt nur des Herrn, eures Gottes, Gebote, die ich euch gebe!
No añadiréis á la palabra que yo os mando, ni disminuiréis de ella, para que guardéis los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios que yo os ordeno.

Mit eigenen Augen habt ihr gesehen, was der Herr wegen des Baal Peor getan. Denn jeden, der dem Baal Peor nachlief, hat der Herr, dein Gott, aus deiner Mitte getilgt.
Vuestros ojos vieron lo que hizo Jehová con motivo de Baal-peor; que á todo hombre que fué en pos de Baal-peor destruyó Jehová tu Dios de en medio de ti.
Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

Seht, Ich gewöhne euch an Gesetze und Gebräuche, wie mir der Herr, mein Gott, geboten, daß ihr danach tut in dem Lande, das einzunehmen ihr kommt.
Mirad, yo os he enseñado estatutos y derechos, como Jehová mi Dios me mandó, para que hagáis así en medio de la tierra en la cual entráis para poseerla.
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

Haltet und tut sie! Denn das ist eure Weisheit und Klugheit in den Augen der Völker. Hören sie von all diesen Satzungen, so werden sie sprechen: 'Jedenfalls ist dieses große Volk eine weise, kluge Nation.'
Guardadlos, pues, y ponedlos por obra: porque esta es vuestra sabiduría y vuestra inteligencia en ojos de los pueblos, los cuales oirán todos estos estatutos, y dirán: Ciertamente pueblo sabio y entendido, gente grande es ésta.
Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

Ja, wo ist ein so großes Volk, dem Gott so nahe ist wie der Herr, unser Gott, sooft wir rufen!
Porque ¿qué gente grande hay que tenga los dioses cercanos á sí, como lo está Jehová nuestro Dios en todo cuanto le pedimos?
For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?
Wo wäre ein so großes Volk, das solch gerechte Gesetze und Gebräuche hätte, wie diese ganze Lehre, die ich euch heute vorlege?
Y ¿qué gente grande hay que tenga estatutos y derechos justos, como es toda esta ley que yo pongo hoy delante de vosotros?
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Nur hüte dich und nimm dich in acht, daß du nicht vergessest, was du mit eigenen Augen gesehen, und daß es dir zeitlebens nicht aus dem Herzen weiche! Tu sie vielmehr deinen Kindern und Enkeln kund!
Por tanto, guárdate, y guarda tu alma con diligencia, que no te olvides de las cosas que tus ojos han visto, ni se aparten de tu corazón todos los días de tu vida: y enseñarlas has á tus hijos, y á los hijos de tus hijos;

Auch den Tag, den du am Horeb vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott, gestanden, als mir der Herr befahl: 'Versammle mir das Volk! Ich lasse sie meine Worte hören, daß sie mich fürchten lernen alle Tage, die sie auf Erden leben, und daß sie auch ihre Kinder lehren.'
El día que estuviste delante de Jehová tu Dios en Horeb, cuando Jehová me dijo: Júntame el pueblo, para que yo les haga oir mis palabras, las cuales aprenderán, para temerme todos los días que vivieren sobre la tierra: y las enseñarán á sus hijos;
Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

Da tratet ihr her und standet am Fuße des Berges. Der Berg aber brannte im Feuer bis ins Innere des Himmels hinein und bis in Finsternis, Gewölk und Wolkendunkel.

Der Herr aber redete zu euch aus dem Feuer. Den Schall der Worte hörtet ihr, aber nur den Schall. Keine Gestalt sahet ihr.

Mir aber hat der Herr damals geboten, euch Gesetze und Gebräuche zu lehren, damit ihr sie tut in dem Lande, in dessen Besitz ihr kommt.

So nehmt euch in acht, gilt es doch euer Leben! Denn ihr habt damals keinerlei Gestalt gesehen, als der Herr am Horeb aus dem Feuer zu euch redete,
Guardad pues mucho vuestras almas: pues ninguna figura visteis el día que Jehová habló con vosotros de en medio del fuego:

damit ihr nicht entartet und euch ein Bild macht, das Abbild irgendeiner Götzengestalt, die Form eines Mannes oder Weibes,
Porque no os corrompáis, y hagáis para vosotros escultura, imagen de figura alguna, efigie de varón ó hembra,
Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

die Form irgendeines Tieres auf Erden oder eines beschwingten Vogels, der am Himmel fliegt,
Figura de algún animal que sea en la tierra, figura de ave alguna alada que vuele por el aire,
The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,
die Form irgendeines Kriechtieres auf Erden, die Form irgendeines Fisches, der im Wasser unter der Erde ist.

Damit du nicht deine Augen gen Himmel hebest und Sonne, Mond und Sterne betrachtest, das ganze Himmelsheer, und dich nicht verleiten lässest, dich davor hinzuwerfen und ihnen zu dienen! Sie hat der Herr, dein Gott, für alle Völker unter dem ganzen Himmel geschaffen.
Y porque alzando tus ojos al cielo, y viendo el sol y la luna y las estrellas, y todo el ejército del cielo, no seas incitado, y te inclines á ellos, y les sirvas; que Jehová tu Dios los ha concedido á todos los pueblos debajo de todos los cielos.
And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

Euch aber hat der Herr ergriffen; dann führte er euch aus dem ägyptischen Eisenschmelzofen, damit ihr ein Volk würdet, ihm eigen, wie es heute ist.
Empero á vosotros Jehová os tomó, y os ha sacado del horno de hierro, de Egipto, para que le seáis por pueblo de heredad como en este día.

Mir aber hat der Herr um euretwillen gezürnt, und so schwur er, ich dürfe nicht den Jordan überschreiten und nicht das schöne Land betreten, das der Herr, dein Gott, dir zu eigen gibt.
Y Jehová se enojó contra mí sobre vuestros negocios, y juró que yo no pasaría el Jordán, ni entraría en la buena tierra, que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad.

Ich sterbe vielmehr in diesem Land und ziehe nicht über den Jordan. Ihr aber zieht hinüber und nehmt dies schöne Land zu eigen.
Así que yo voy á morir en esta tierra; y no paso el Jordán: mas vosotros pasaréis, y poseeréis aquella buena tierra.

Hütet euch, daß ihr nicht den Bund vergesset, den der Herr, euer Gott, mit euch geschlossen! Macht euch kein Bild, kein Abbild von irgend etwas, wie es dir der Herr, dein Gott, geboten!
Guardaos no os olvidéis del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, que él estableció con vosotros, y os hagáis escultura ó imagen de cualquier cosa, que Jehová tu Dios te ha vedado.
Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

Denn der Herr, dein Gott, ist ein verzehrendes Feuer, ein eifernder Gott.

Wenn ihr Kinder und Enkel bekommt und wenn ihr im Land eingelebt seid, und wenn ihr entartet und Bilder macht, Abbilder von irgend etwas, und tut das, was böse ist in den Augen des Herrn, deines Gottes, um ihn zu erzürnen,
Cuando hubiereis engendrado hijos y nietos, y hubiereis envejecido en la tierra, y os corrompiereis, é hiciereis escultura ó imagen de cualquier cosa, é hiciereis mal en ojos de Jehová vuestro Dios, para enojarlo;
When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
When you father children and children’s children, and you have been long in the land, and then corrupt yourselves, and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in the LORD your God’s sight to provoke him to anger,
so nehme ich jetzt schon Himmel und Erde zu Zeugen wider euch, daß ihr schleunigst aus dem Lande schwindet, das einzunehmen, ihr den Jordan überschreitet. Ihr bleibt dann nicht lange darin, sondern ihr werdet völlig vertilgt werden.
Yo pongo hoy por testigos al cielo y á la tierra, que presto pereceréis totalmente de la tierra hacia la cual pasáis el Jordán para poseerla: no estaréis en ella largos días sin que seáis destruídos.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

Und der Herr zerstreut euch unter die Völker, und nur ein winzig Häuflein bleibt von euch unter den Nationen übrig, in die euch der Herr treiben wird.
Y Jehová os esparcirá entre los pueblos, y quedaréis pocos en número entre las gentes á las cuales os llevará Jehová:
And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.

Dort dient ihr Göttern, Werken von Menschenhänden, Holz und Stein, die nicht sehen, noch hören, noch essen, noch riechen.
Y serviréis allí á dioses hechos de manos de hombres, á madera y á piedra, que no ven, ni oyen, ni comen, ni huelen.
And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

Von dort ab suchst du den Herrn, deinen Gott. Und du findest ihn, wenn du ihn suchst von ganzem Herzen und ganzer Seele,
Mas si desde allí buscares á Jehová tu Dios, lo hallarás, si lo buscares de todo tu corazón y de toda tu alma.
But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
But from there you shall seek the LORD your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
in deiner Not, wenn dich all dies trifft in späterer Zeit. Dann kehrst du zum Herrn, deinem Gott, zurück und hörst wieder auf seine Stimme.
Cuando estuviereis en angustia, y te alcanzaren todas estas cosas, si en los postreros días te volvieres á Jehová tu Dios, y oyeres su voz;
When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to the LORD your God and listen to his voice.
Denn der Herr, dein Gott, ist ein barmherziger Gott. Er läßt dich nicht los und läßt dich nicht verderben. Er vergißt nicht den Bund mit deinen Vätern, den er ihnen beschworen hat.
Porque Dios misericordioso es Jehová tu Dios; no te dejará, ni te destruirá, ni se olvidará del pacto de tus padres que les juró.
(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

Ja, frage doch die alten Zeiten, die vor dir gewesen, seit der Zeit, da Gott auf Erden Menschen geschaffen, und von einem Ende des Himmels bis zum anderen, ob je so Großes geschehen oder ob je dergleichen vernommen worden ist,
Porque pregunta ahora de los tiempos pasados, que han sido antes de ti, desde el día que crió Dios al hombre sobre la tierra, y desde el un cabo del cielo al otro, si se ha hecho cosa semejante á esta gran cosa, ó se haya oído otra como ella.
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

ob ein Volk vernehmlich Gott aus dem Feuer reden gehört hat, wie du es gehört, und es blieb leben?
¿Ha oído pueblo la voz de Dios, que hablase de en medio del fuego, como tú la has oído, y vivido?
Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

Oder ob je ein Gott versucht hat, zu kommen und sich ein Volk aus einem anderen herauszuholen mit Proben, Zeichen und Wundern, mit Krieg, mit starker Hand und gerecktem Arm und großen Schauern, wie der Herr, euer Gott, vor deinen Augen in Ägypten mit euch getan?
¿O ha Dios probado á venir á tomar para sí gente de en medio de otra gente, con pruebas, con señales, con milagros, y con guerra, y mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y grandes espantos, según todas las cosas que hizo con vosotros Jehová vuestro Dios en Egipto ante tus ojos?
Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
So bist du überzeugt worden: Der Herr ist Gott, sonst keiner.
A ti te fué mostrado, para que supieses que Jehová él es Dios; no hay más fuera de él.
Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
It was shown to you so that you might know that the LORD is God. There is no one else besides him.
Vom Himmel her hat er dich seine Stimme hören lassen, zu deiner Zucht. Und auf Erden hat er dich sein großes Feuer sehen lassen. Und aus dem Feuer hast du seine Worte vernommen.
De los cielos te hizo oir su voz, para enseñarte: y sobre la tierra te mostró su gran fuego: y has oído sus palabras de en medio del fuego.
Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

Weil er deine Väter geliebt hat, erwählte er ihre Nachkommen und führte dich selbst mit seiner großen Kraft aus Ägypten,

Para echar de delante de ti gentes grandes y más fuertes que tú, y para introducirte, y darte su tierra por heredad, como hoy.
To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

So erkenne heute! Nimm es dir zu Herzen! Der Herr ist Gott im Himmel droben und auf Erden unten, sonst keiner.
Aprende pues hoy, y reduce á tu corazón que Jehová él es el Dios arriba en el cielo, y abajo sobre la tierra; no hay otro.
Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Halte seine Gesetze und Gebräuche, die ich dir heute gebe, daß es dir wohlergehe und deinen Kindern nach dir und du lange lebest auf dem Boden, den dir der Herr, dein Gott, gibt, zu allen Zeiten!"
Y guarda sus estatutos y sus mandamientos, que yo te mando hoy, para que te vaya bien á ti y á tus hijos después de ti, y prolongues tus días sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para siempre.
Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.

Damals schied Moses drei Städte aus in dem Land jenseits des Jordans gegen Osten,
Entonces apartó Moisés tres ciudades de esta parte del Jordán al nacimiento del sol,
Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;
Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise,
damit ein Totschläger dahin fliehen könnte, der seinen Nächsten ohne Absicht getötet hatte und nicht aus altem Hasse. Er soll in eine dieser Städte fliehen und leben bleiben!
Para que huyese allí el homicida que matase á su prójimo por yerro, sin haber tenido enemistad con él desde ayer ni antes de ayer; y que huyendo á una de estas ciudades salvara la vida:
That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live:
that the man slayer might flee there, who kills his neighbor unintentionally and didn’t hate him in time past, and that fleeing to one of these cities he might live:
