Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.

Y díjome Jehová: No tengas temor de él, porque en tu mano he entregado á él y á todo su pueblo, y su tierra: y harás con él como hiciste con Sehón rey Amorrheo, que habitaba en Hesbón.

And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

The LORD said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, with all his people and his land, into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people,—so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.

Y Jehová nuestro Dios entregó también en nuestra mano á Og rey de Basán, y á todo su pueblo, al cual herimos hasta no quedar de él ninguno.

So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them,—sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar,—besides country towns exceeding many.

And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon,—devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.

Y destruímoslas, como hicimos á Sehón rey de Hesbón, destruyendo en toda ciudad hombres, mujeres, y niños.

Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan),—from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.

También tomamos en aquel tiempo de mano de dos reyes Amorrheos que estaban de esta parte del Jordán, la tierra desde el arroyo de Arnón hasta el monte de Hermón:

And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;

We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon.

Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion,—but, the Amorites, call it Senir.

All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan,—unto Salecah, and Edrei,—cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.

For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.

Porque sólo Og rey de Basán había quedado de los gigantes que quedaron. He aquí su cama, una cama de hierro, ¿no está en Rabbath de los hijos de Ammón?; la longitud de ella de nueve codos, y su anchura de cuatro codos, al codo de un hombre.

For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim. Behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron. Isn’t it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? Nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its width, after the cubit of a man.)

And this land, took we in possession at that time,—from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;

Y esta tierra que heredamos entonces desde Aroer, que está al arroyo de Arnón, y la mitad del monte de Galaad con sus ciudades, dí á los Rubenitas y á los Gaditas:

And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead with its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites;

but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh,—all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.

Y el resto de Galaad, y todo Basán, del reino de Og, dílo á la media tribu de Manasés; toda la tierra de Argob, todo Basán, que se llamaba la tierra de los gigantes.

And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites,—and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.

Jair hijo de Manasés tomó toda la tierra de Argob hasta el término de Gessuri y Machâti; y llamóla de su nombre Basán-havoth-jair, hasta hoy.

Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashan-havoth-jair, unto this day.

And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;

And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary,—even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;

And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary,—from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.

Asimismo la campiña, y el Jordán, y el término, desde Cinereth hasta la mar del llano, el mar Salado, las vertientes abajo del Pisga al oriente.

The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdoth-pisgah eastward.

the Arabah also, and the Jordan and its border, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.

So I commanded you, at that time saying,—Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,

And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.

Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;

But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall live in your cities which I have given you,

until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan,—then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.

Hasta que Jehová dé reposo á vuestros hermanos, así como á vosotros, y hereden también ellos la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios les da á la otra parte del Jordán: entonces os volveréis cada uno á su heredad que yo os he dado.

Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.

Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying,—Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:

Mandé también á Josué entonces, diciendo: Tus ojos vieron todo lo que Jehová vuestro Dios ha hecho á aquellos dos reyes: así hará Jehová á todos los reinos á los cuales pasarás tú.

And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.

I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings. So shall the LORD do to all the kingdoms where you go over.

ye shall not fear them,—for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.

No los temáis; que Jehová vuestro Dios, él es el que pelea por vosotros.

Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

You shall not fear them; for the LORD your God himself fights for you.”

Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:

And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

I begged GOD at that time, saying,

My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand,—as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?

Señor Jehová, tú has comenzado á mostrar á tu siervo tu grandeza, y tu mano fuerte: porque ¿qué dios hay en el cielo ni en la tierra que haga según tus obras, y según tus valentías?

O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

“Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?

Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan,—this good mountain, and the Lebanon.

Pase yo, ruégote, y vea aquella tierra buena, que está á la parte allá del Jordán, aquel buen monte, y el Líbano.

I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”

But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me,—and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.

Mas Jehová se había enojado contra mí por causa de vosotros, por lo cual no me oyó: y díjome Jehová: Bástate, no me hables más de este negocio.

But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

But the LORD was angry with me because of you, and didn’t listen to me. The LORD said to me, “That is enough! Speak no more to me of this matter.

Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes,—for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.

Sube á la cumbre del Pisga, y alza tus ojos al occidente, y al aquilón, y al mediodía, y al oriente, y ve por tus ojos: porque no pasarás este Jordán.

Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes; for you shall not go over this Jordan.

But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him,—for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

Y manda á Josué, y anímalo, y confórtalo; porque él ha de pasar delante de este pueblo, y él les hará heredar la tierra que verás.

So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
