1And if thou shouldest go into the corn field of thy neighbour, then thou mayest gather the ears with thy hands; but thou shalt not put the sickle to thy neighbour’s corn.
2And if thou shouldest go into the vineyard of thy neighbour, thou shalt eat grapes sufficient to satisfy thy desire; but thou mayest not put them into a vessel.
3And if any one should take a wife, and should dwell with her, then it shall come to pass if she should not have found favour before him, because he has found some unbecoming thing in her, that he shall write for her a Or, book bill of divorcement, and give it into her hands, and he shall send her away out of his house.
4And if she should go away and be married to another man;
5and the last husband should hate her, and write for her a bill of divorcement; and should give it into her hands, and send her away out of his house, and the last husband should die, who took her to himself for a wife;
6the former husband who sent her away shall not be able to return and take her to himself for a wife, after she has been defiled; because it is an abomination before the Lord thy God, and ye shall not defile the land, which the Lord thy God gives thee to inherit.
7And if any one should have recently taken a wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall any thing be laid upon him; he shall be Lit. guiltless free in his house; for one year he shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
8Thou shalt not take for a pledge the under millstone, nor the upper millstone; for Gr. this man he who does so takes life for a pledge.
9And if a man should be caught stealing Gr. a soul one of his brethren of the children of Israel, and having overcome him he should sell him, that thief shall die; so shalt thou remove that evil one from yourselves.
10Take heed to thyself in regard of the plague of leprosy: thou shalt take great heed to do according to all the law, which the priests the Levites shall report to you; take heed to do, as I have charged you.
11Remember all that the Lord thy God did to Mariam in the way, when ye were going out of Egypt.
12If thy neighbour owe thee a debt, any debt whatsoever, thou shalt not go into his house to take his pledge:
13thou shalt stand without, and the man who is in thy debt shall bring the pledge out to thee.
14And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge.
15Thou shalt surely restore his pledge at sunset, and he shall sleep in his garment, and he shall bless thee; and it shall be i. e. mercy shewn by thee mercy to thee before the Lord thy God.
16Thou shalt not unjustly withhold the wages of the poor and needy of thy brethren, or of the strangers who are in thy cities.
17Thou shalt pay him his wages the same day, the sun shall not go down upon it, because he is poor and he trusts in it; and he shall cry against thee to the Lord, and it shall be sin in thee.
18The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, and the sons shall not Gr. die in his own sin be put to death for the fathers; every one shall be put to death for his own sin.
19Thou shalt not wrest the judgement of the stranger and the fatherless, and widow; thou shalt not take the widow’s garment for a pledge.
20And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee from thence; therefore I charge thee to do this thing.
21And when thou shalt have reaped corn in thy field, and shalt have forgotten a sheaf in thy field, thou shalt not return to take it; it shall be for the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the works of thy hands.
22And if thou shouldest gather thine olives, thou shalt not return to collect the remainder; it shall be for the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, and thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt; therefore I command thee to do this thing.
23And when soever thou shalt gather the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean what thou hast left; it shall be for the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow:
24and thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt; therefore I command thee to do this thing.

1CUANDO alguno tomare mujer y se casare con ella, si no le agradare por haber hallado en ella alguna cosa torpe, le escribirá carta de repudio, y se la entregará en su mano, y despedirála de su casa.
2Y salida de su casa, podrá ir y casarse con otro hombre.
3Y si la aborreciere aqueste último, y le escribiere carta de repudio, y se la entregare en su mano, y la despidiere de su casa; ó si muriere el postrer hombre que la tomó para sí por mujer,
4No podrá su primer marido, que la despidió, volverla á tomar para que sea su mujer, después que fué amancillada; porque es abominación delante de Jehová, y no has de pervertir la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad.
5Cuando tomare alguno mujer nueva, no saldrá á la guerra, ni en ninguna cosa se le ocupará; libre estará en su casa por un año, para alegrar á su mujer que tomó.
6No tomarás en prenda la muela de molino, ni la de abajo ni la de arriba: porque sería prendar la vida.
7Cuando fuere hallado alguno que haya hurtado persona de sus hermanos los hijos de Israel, y hubiere mercadeado con ella, ó la hubiere vendido, el tal ladrón morirá, y quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
8Guárdate de llaga de lepra, observando diligentemente, y haciendo según todo lo que os enseñaren los sacerdotes Levitas: cuidaréis de hacer como les he mandado.
9Acuérdate de lo que hizo Jehová tu Dios á María en el camino, después que salisteis de Egipto.
10Cuando dieres á tu prójimo alguna cosa emprestada, no entrarás en su casa para tomarle prenda:
11Fuera estarás, y el hombre á quien prestaste, te sacará afuera la prenda.
12Y si fuere hombre pobre, no duermas con su prenda:
13Precisamente le devolverás la prenda cuando el sol se ponga, para que duerma en su ropa, y te bendiga: y te será justicia delante de Jehová tu Dios.
14No hagas agravio al jornalero pobre y menesteroso, así de tus hermanos como de tus extranjeros que están en tu tierra en tus ciudades:
15En su día le darás su jornal, y no se pondrá el sol sin dárselo: pues es pobre, y con él sustenta su vida: porque no clame contra ti á Jehová, y sea en ti pecado.
16Los padres no morirán por los hijos, ni los hijos por los padres; cada uno morirá por su pecado.
17No torcerás el derecho del peregrino y del huérfano; ni tomarás por prenda la ropa de la viuda:
18Mas acuérdate que fuiste siervo en Egipto, y de allí te rescató Jehová tu Dios: por tanto, yo te mando que hagas esto.
19Cuando segares tu mies en tu campo, y olvidares alguna gavilla en el campo, no volverás á tomarla: para el extranjero, para el huérfano, y para la viuda será; porque te bendiga Jehová tu Dios en toda obra de tus manos.
20Cuando sacudieres tus olivas, no recorrerás las ramas tras ti: para el extranjero, para el huérfano, y para la viuda será.
21Cuando vendimiares tu viña, no rebuscarás tras ti: para el extranjero, para el huérfano, y para la viuda será.
22Y acuérdate que fuiste siervo en tierra de Egipto: por tanto, yo te mando que hagas esto.

1When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
5When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
6No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he taketh a man’s life to pledge.
7If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
8Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
9Remember what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
10When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
11Thou shalt stand abroad, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
12And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge:
13In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God.
14Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
15At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
16The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
18But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

1When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2When she has departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3If the latter husband hates her, and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, who took her to be his wife;
4her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife after she is defiled; for that would be an abomination to the LORD. You shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
5When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
6No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone as a pledge, for he takes a life in pledge.
7If a man is found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deals with him as a slave, or sells him, then that thief shall die. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
8Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you. As I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.
