Deuteronomio 21

1Wenn in dem Lande, das dir Jahwe, dein Gott, zum Besitztume verleiht, ein Erschlagener auf dem Felde liegen gefunden wird, ohne daß man weiß, wer ihn erschlagen hat,
2so sollen deine Vornehmsten und Richter hinausgehen und die Entfernung bis zu den Städten abmessen, die sich rings um den Erschlagenen befinden.
3Ist dann die dem Erschlagenen zunächst liegende Stadt ermittelt, so sollen die Vornehmsten jener Stadt eine junge Kuh nehmen, mit der noch nicht gearbeitet worden ist, die noch nicht an einem Joche gezogen hat.
4Dann sollen die Vornehmsten jener Stadt die junge Kuh in ein Thal mit nie versiegendem Wasser hinabführen, wo nicht geackert und nicht gesät wird, und sollen dort im Thale der jungen Kuh das Genick brechen.
5Darauf sollen die Priester, die Söhne Levis, herzutreten, - denn sie hat Jahwe, dein Gott, erwählt, daß sie ihm dienen und im Namen Jahwes segnen sollen, und nach ihrem Ausspruche wird über jeden Streit und jede Verletzung entschieden, -
6und alle Vornehmsten jener Stadt, als die, welche dem Erschlagenen am nächsten wohnen, sollen über der jungen Kuh, der im Thale das Genick gebrochen wurde, ihre Hände waschen
7und sollen anheben und sprechen: Unsere Hände haben dieses Blut nicht vergossen, und unsere Augen haben die Unthat nicht gesehen.
8Vergieb, o Jahwe, deinem Volke Israel, das du erlöst hast, und lege deinem Volke Israel nicht die Verantwortung für unschuldig vergossenes Blut auf! So werden sie von der Blutschuld frei werden,
9und du sollst das unschuldig vergossene Blut aus deiner Mitte hinwegtilgen, damit es dir wohl gehe, wenn du thust, was vor Jahwe recht ist.
10Wenn du gegen deine Feinde in den Krieg ziehst, und Jahwe, dein Gott, sie in deine Gewalt giebt, und du Gefangene unter ihnen machst
11und unter den Gefangenen ein Weib von schöner Gestalt erblickst und von Liebe zu ihr ergriffen wirst, daß du sie dir zum Weibe nehmen willst,
12so bringe sie hinein in dein Haus, daß sie ihr Haupt beschere, ihre Nägel beschneide
13und ihre Gefangenenkleidung ablege. So soll sie in deinem Hause wohnen und ihren Vater und ihre Mutter einen Monat lang betrauern; und darnach darfst du zu ihr eingehen und sie ehelichen, daß sie dein Weib sei.
14Wenn sie dir aber nicht mehr gefällt, so hast du sie ganz frei zu geben und darfst sie keinesfalls um Geld verkaufen. Du darfst dich nicht gewaltthätig gegen sie erzeigen, weil du sie geschwächt hast.
15Wenn ein Mann zwei Frauen hat, von denen er die eine bevorzugt, die andere aber zurücksetzt, und beide ihm Söhne gebären, die bevorzugte wie die zurückgesetzte, und der erstgeborne Sohn von der zurückgesetzten stammt,
16so darf er, wenn er seinen Söhnen sein Vermögen als Erbe übergiebt, nicht mit Hintansetzung des Sohns der zurückgesetzten, der der Erstgeborne ist, dem Sohne der bevorzugten die Rechte des Erstgebornen verleihen,
17sondern er hat den wirklichen Erstgebornen, den Sohn der zurückgesetzten, als solchen anzuerkennen, indem er ihm von allem, was er besitzt, doppelten Anteil gewährt; denn dieser ist der Erstling deiner Kraft, ihm gehört das Erstgeburtsrecht.
18Hat jemand einen mißratenen und widerspenstigen Sohn, der auf die Mahnung seines Vaters und seiner Mutter nicht hören will und ihnen auch, nachdem sie ihn gezüchtigt haben, nicht gehorcht,
19so sollen ihn seine Eltern ergreifen, ihn vor die Vornehmsten seiner Stadt und zwar zum Thore seine Wohnorts hinausführen
20und zu den Vornehmsten seiner Stadt sprechen: Dieser unser Sohn da ist mißraten und widerspenstig, will auf unsere Mahnung nicht hören, ist ein Verschwender und Trunkenbold!
21So sollen ihn dann alle Leute aus seiner Stadt zu Tode steinigen, und so sollst du das Böse aus deiner Mitte hinwegtilgen, und ganz Israel soll es vernehmen und sich fürchten.
22Wenn einer, der ein todeswürdiges Verbrechen begangen hat, mit dem Tode bestraft wird, und man ihn an einen Baum aufgehängt hat,
23so soll sein Leichnam nicht über Nacht an dem Baume hängen bleiben, sondern du hast ihn noch am gleichen Tage zu begraben; denn ein Gehängter ist bei Gott verflucht, und du sollst dein Land nicht verunreinigen, das dir Jahwe, dein Gott, zum Eigentume verleiht.

1CUANDO fuere hallado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para que la poseas, muerto echado en el campo, y no se supiere quién lo hirió,
2Entonces tus ancianos y tus jueces saldrán y medirán hasta las ciudades que están alrededor del muerto:
3Y será, que los ancianos de aquella ciudad, de la ciudad más cercana al muerto, tomarán de la vacada una becerra que no haya servido, que no haya traído yugo;
4Y los ancianos de aquella ciudad traerán la becerra á un valle áspero, que nunca haya sido arado ni sembrado, y cortarán el pescuezo á la becerra allí en el valle.
5Entonces vendrán los sacerdotes hijos de Leví, porque á ellos escogió Jehová tu Dios para que le sirvan, y para bendecir en nombre de Jehová; y por el dicho de ellos se determinará todo pleito y toda llaga.
6Y todos los ancianos de aquella ciudad más cercana al muerto lavarán sus manos sobre la becerra degollada en el valle.
7Y protestarán, y dirán: Nuestras manos no han derramado esta sangre, ni nuestros ojos lo vieron.
8Expía á tu pueblo Israel, al cual redimiste, oh Jehová; y no imputes la sangre inocente derramada en medio de tu pueblo Israel. Y la sangre les será perdonada.
9Y tú quitarás la culpa de sangre inocente de en medio de ti, cuando hicieres lo que es recto en los ojos de Jehová.
10Cuando salieres á la guerra contra tus enemigos, y Jehová tu Dios los entregare en tu mano, y tomares de ellos cautivos,
11Y vieres entre los cautivos alguna mujer hermosa, y la codiciares, y la tomares para ti por mujer,
12La meterás en tu casa; y ella raerá su cabeza, y cortará sus uñas,
13Y se quitará el vestido de su cautiverio, y quedaráse en tu casa: y llorará á su padre y á su madre el tiempo de un mes: y después entrarás á ella, y tu serás su marido, y ella tu mujer.
14Y será, si no te agradare, que la has de dejar en su libertad; y no la venderás por dinero, ni mercadearás con ella, por cuanto la afligiste.
15Cuando un hombre tuviere dos mujeres, la una amada y la otra aborrecida, y la amada y la aborrecida le parieren hijos, y el hijo primogénito fuere de la aborrecida;
16Será que, el día que hiciere heredar á sus hijos lo que tuviere, no podrá dar el derecho de primogenitura á los hijos de la amada en preferencia al hijo de la aborrecida, que es el primogénito;
17Mas al hijo de la aborrecida reconocerá por primogénito, para darle dos tantos de todo lo que se hallare que tiene: porque aquél es el principio de su fuerza, el derecho de la primogenitura es suyo.
18Cuando alguno tuviere hijo contumaz y rebelde, que no obedeciere á la voz de su padre ni á la voz de su madre, y habiéndolo castigado, no les obedeciere;
19Entonces tomarlo han su padre y su madre, y lo sacarán á los ancianos de su ciudad, y á la puerta del lugar suyo;
20Y dirán á los ancianos de la ciudad: Este nuestro hijo es contumaz y rebelde, no obedece á nuestra voz; es glotón y borracho.
21Entonces todos los hombres de su ciudad lo apedrearán con piedras, y morirá: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti; y todo Israel oirá, y temerá.
22Cuando en alguno hubiere pecado de sentencia de muerte, por el que haya de morir, y le habrás colgado en un madero,
23No estará su cuerpo por la noche en el madero, mas sin falta lo enterrarás el mismo día, porque maldición de Dios es el colgado: y no contaminarás tu tierra, que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad.

1If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him:
2Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:
3And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
4And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer’s neck there in the valley:
5And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:
6And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:
7And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
8Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
9So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
10When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
12Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
13And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
14And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
15If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
16Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
17But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.
18If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
19Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
20And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
22And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
23His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
World English Bible
1If someone is found slain in the land which the LORD your God gives you to possess, lying in the field, and it isn’t known who has struck him,
2then your elders and your judges shall come out, and they shall measure to the cities which are around him who is slain.
3It shall be that the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer of the herd, which hasn’t been worked with and which has not drawn in the yoke.
4The elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a valley with running water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer’s neck there in the valley.
5The priests the sons of Levi shall come near, for them the LORD your God has chosen to minister to him, and to bless in the LORD’s name; and according to their word shall every controversy and every assault be decided.
6All the elders of that city which is nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.
7They shall answer and say, “Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
8Forgive, LORD, your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and don’t allow innocent blood among your people Israel.” The blood shall be forgiven them.
9So you shall put away the innocent blood from among you, when you shall do that which is right in the LORD’s eyes.
10When you go out to battle against your enemies, and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands and you carry them away captive,
11and see among the captives a beautiful woman, and you are attracted to her, and desire to take her as your wife,
12then you shall bring her home to your house. She shall shave her head and trim her nails.
13She shall take off the clothing of her captivity, and shall remain in your house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month. After that you shall go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife.
14It shall be, if you have no delight in her, then you shall let her go where she desires; but you shall not sell her at all for money. You shall not deal with her as a slave, because you have humbled her.
15If a man has two wives, the one beloved and the other hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated, and if the firstborn son is hers who was hated,
16then it shall be, in the day that he causes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not give the son of the beloved the rights of the firstborn before the son of the hated, who is the firstborn;
17but he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the hated, by giving him a double portion of all that he has; for he is the beginning of his strength. The right of the firstborn is his.
18If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and though they chasten him, will not listen to them,
19then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city and to the gate of his place.
20They shall tell the elders of his city, “This our son is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey our voice. He is a glutton and a drunkard.”
21All the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall remove the evil from among you. All Israel shall hear, and fear.
22If a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree,
23his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him the same day; for he who is hanged is accursed of God. Don’t defile your land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
