1Dies sind die Satzungen und Rechte, auf deren Befolgung ihr in dem Lande, das dir Jahwe, der Gott deiner Väter, zum Besitze gegeben hat, allezeit achten sollt, so lange ihr auf Erden lebt.
2Gänzlich sollt ihr alle die Stätten zerstören, woselbst die Völker, welche ihr vertreibt, ihre Götter verehrt haben, auf den hohen Bergen, auf den Hügeln und unter jedem grünen Baume.
3Stürzt ihre Altäre um, zertrümmert ihre Malsteine, verbrennt ihre heiligen Bäume, zerschlagt die Schnitzbilder ihrer Götter und vertilgt ihren Namen von jenen Stätten.
4Ihr dürft nicht ebenso wie diese Völker verfahren in betreff der Verehrung Jahwes, eures Gottes;
5sondern nur an die Stätte, welche Jahwe, euer Gott, aus allen euren Stämmen erwählen wird, um seinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen, sollt ihr euch halten, und dorthin sollst du dich begeben.
6Dorthin sollt ihr eure Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer, eure Zehnten und was ihr an Hebeopfern bringen wollt, eure Gelübde, eure freiwilligen Gaben und die Erstgeburten eurer Rinder und Schafe bringen.
7Dort sollt ihr vor Jahwe, eurem Gotte, das Opfermahl halten und samt euren Familien fröhlich sein über alles, was ihr erworben habt, womit dich Jahwe, dein Gott, gesegnet hat.
8Ihr dürft dann nicht thun, wie wir jetzt hier ein jeder nach seinem Belieben zu thun pflegen;
9denn bis jetzt seid ihr noch nicht zur Ruhe und zu dem Besitze gelangt, den dir Jahwe, dein Gott, verleihen will.
10Aber wenn ihr den Jordan überschritten und in dem Lande Wohnung genommen habt, das Jahwe, euer Gott, euch zum Eigentume giebt, und wenn er euch vor allen euren Feinden ringsum Ruhe verschafft hat, so daß ihr sicher wohnt,
11dann soll die Stätte, die Jahwe, euer Gott, erwählt, um seinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen, allein es sein, wohin ihr alles bringt, was ich euch befehle: eure Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer, eure Zehnten und was ihr an Hebeopfern bringen wollt, und alle eure auserlesenen Gelübdeopfer, die ihr Jahwe gelobt habt.
12Und ihr sollt vor Jahwe, eurem Gotte, fröhlich sein, ihr und eure Söhne und Töchter, eure Sklaven und Sklavinnen, samt dem Leviten, der in euren Ortschaften wohnt, weil er keinen Landanteil noch Erbbesitz bei euch hat.
13Hüte dich, deine Brandopfer an jeder beliebigen Stätte darzubringen;
14sondern nur an der Stätte, die Jahwe in einem deiner Stämme erwählen wird, dort sollst du deine Brandopfer darbringen und dort alles das verrichten, was ich dir befehle.
15Doch darfst du nach Herzenslust in allen deinen Ortschaften schlachten und Fleisch essen, so viel dir durch den Segen Jahwes, deines Gottes, gegeben ist; der Unreine, wie der Reine darf davon essen, wie bei einer Gazelle oder bei einem Hirsch.
16Nur das Blut dürft ihr nicht genießen; auf die Erde mußt du es fließen lassen wie Wasser.
17Aber nicht darfst du in deinen Ortschaften den Zehnten deines Getreides oder Mostes oder Öls verzehren, noch die Erstgeburten deiner Kinder oder Schafe, noch irgend eines deiner Gelübdeopfer, die du gelobt hast, noch deine freiwilligen Gaben, noch etwas, was du als Hebeopfer darbringst,
18sondern nur vor Jahwe, deinem Gott, an der Stätte, die Jahwe, dein Gott, erwählen wird, kannst du es verzehren, du, dein Sohn, deine Tochter, dein Sklave und deine Sklavin, samt dem Leviten, der sich an deinem Wohnort aufhält, und sollst über alles, was du erworben hast, vor Jahwe, deinem Gotte, fröhlich sein.
19Hüte dich, daß du den Leviten nicht im Stiche lässest, so lange du in deinem Lande lebst!
20Wenn dir Jahwe, dein Gott, wie er dir verheißen hat, dein Gebiet erweitert und du sprichst: Ich möchte Fleisch essen! weil dich nach Fleischgenuß gelüstet, so magst du nach Herzenslust Fleisch essen.
21Wenn die Stätte, die Jahwe, dein Gott, erwählt, um seinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen, zu weit von dir entfernt ist, so schlachte, wie ich dir geboten habe, von deinen Rindern und Schafen, die dir Jahwe gegeben hat, und iß davon an deinem Wohnorte nach Herzenslust.
22Nur sollst du es ebenso essen, wie Gazellen- und Hirschfleisch gegessen wird; der Unreine so gut, wie der Reine mögen davon essen.
23Allein sei fest, daß du dich ganz des Bluts enthaltest; denn das Blut ist das Leben, und du darfst nicht zugleich mit dem Fleisch auch das Leben verzehren.
24Du darfst es nicht genießen; auf die Erde mußt du es fließen lassen wie Wasser.
25Du darfst es nicht genießen, damit es dir und deinen Kindern nach dir wohl gehe, wenn du thust, was vor Jahwe recht ist.
26Aber was du an heiligen Gaben zu bringen hast und deine Gelübdeopfer sollst du zu der Stätte, die Jahwe erwählen wird, hintragen
27und auf dem Altare Jahwes, deines Gottes, deine Brandopfer, das Fleisch und das Blut, herrichten, während von deinen Schlachtopfern das Blut auf den Altar Jahwes, deines Gottes, auszugießen ist, das Fleisch aber du essen darfst.
28Beobachte und befolge alle diese Gebote, die ich dir gebe, damit es dir und deinen Kindern nach dir immerdar wohl gehe, wenn du thust, was vor Jahwe, deinem Gotte, gut und recht ist.
29Wenn Jahwe, dein Gott, die Völker vor dir ausrottet, zu deren Vertreibung du dorthin ziehst, und wenn du sie vertrieben und in ihrem Lande Wohnung genommen hast,
30so hüte dich, daß du nicht, nachdem sie vor dir vertilgt sind, dich bestricken lässest, es ihnen nachzuthun, und daß du dich nicht nach ihren Göttern erkundigst, indem du fragst: Wie pflegten doch diese Völker ihre Götter zu verehren, daß ich auch so verfahre?
31Du darfst in betreff der Verehrung Jahwes, deines Gottes, nicht so verfahren. Denn alles, was Jahwe ein Greuel ist, was er haßt, haben sie gegenüber ihren Göttern gethan; verbrennen sie doch ihren Göttern sogar ihre Söhne und Töchter.

1ESTOS son los estatutos y derechos que cuidaréis de poner por obra, en la tierra que Jehová el Dios de tus padres te ha dado para que la poseas, todos los días que vosotros viviereis sobre la tierra.
2Destruiréis enteramente todos los lugares donde las gentes que vosotros heredareis sirvieron á sus dioses, sobre los montes altos, y sobre los collados, y debajo de todo árbol espeso:
3Y derribaréis sus altares, y quebraréis sus imágenes, y sus bosques consumiréis con fuego: y destruiréis las esculturas de sus dioses, y extirparéis el nombre de ellas de aquel lugar.
4No haréis así á Jehová vuestro Dios.
5Mas el lugar que Jehová vuestro Dios escogiere de todas vuestras tribus, para poner allí su nombre para su habitación, ése buscaréis, y allá iréis:
6Y allí llevaréis vuestros holocaustos, y vuestros sacrificios, y vuestros diezmos, y la ofrenda elevada de vuestras manos, y vuestros votos, y vuestras ofrendas voluntarias, y los primerizos de vuestras vacas y de vuestras ovejas:
7Y comeréis allí delante de Jehová vuestro Dios, y os alegraréis, vosotros y vuestras familias, en toda obra de vuestras manos en que Jehová tu Dios te hubiere bendecido.
8No haréis como todo lo que nosotros hacemos aquí ahora, cada uno lo que le parece,
9Porque aun hasta ahora no habéis entrado al reposo y á la heredad que os da Jehová vuestro Dios.
10Mas pasaréis el Jordán, y habitaréis en la tierra que Jehová vuestro Dios os hace heredar, y él os dará reposo de todos vuestros enemigos alrededor, y habitaréis seguros.
11Y al lugar que Jehová vuestro Dios escogiere para hacer habitar en él su nombre, allí llevaréis todas las cosas que yo os mando: vuestros holocaustos, y vuestros sacrificios, vuestros diezmos, y las ofrendas elevadas de vuestras manos, y todo lo escogido de vuestros votos que hubiereis prometido á Jehová;
12Y os alegraréis delante de Jehová vuestro Dios, vosotros, y vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas, y vuestros siervos, y vuestras siervas, y el Levita que estuviere en vuestras poblaciones: por cuanto no tiene parte ni heredad con vosotros.
13Guárdate, que no ofrezcas tus holocaustos en cualquier lugar que vieres;
14Mas en el lugar que Jehová escogiere, en una de tus tribus, allí ofrecerás tus holocaustos, y allí harás todo lo que yo te mando.
15Con todo, podrás matar y comer carne en todas tus poblaciones conforme al deseo de tu alma, según la bendición de Jehová tu Dios que él te habrá dado: el inmundo y el limpio la comerá, como la de corzo ó de ciervo:
16Salvo que sangre no comeréis; sobre la tierra la derramaréis como agua.
17Ni podrás comer en tus poblaciones el diezmo de tu grano, ó de tu vino, ó de tu aceite, ni los primerizos de tus vacas, ni de tus ovejas, ni tus votos que prometieres, ni tus ofrendas voluntarias, ni las elevadas ofrendas de tus manos:
18Mas delante de Jehová tu Dios las comerás, en el lugar que Jehová tu Dios hubiere escogido, tú, y tu hijo, y tu hija, y tu siervo, y tu sierva, y el Levita que está en tus poblaciones: y alegrarte has delante de Jehová tu Dios en toda obra de tus manos.
19Ten cuidado de no desamparar al Levita en todos tus días sobre tu tierra.
20Cuando Jehová tu Dios ensanchare tu término, como él te ha dicho, y tú dijeres, Comeré carne, porque deseó tu alma comerla, conforme á todo el deseo de tu alma comerás carne.
21Cuando estuviere lejos de ti el lugar que Jehová tu Dios habrá escogido, para poner allí su nombre, matarás de tus vacas y de tus ovejas, que Jehová te hubiere dado, como te he mandado yo, y comerás en tus puertas según todo lo que deseare tu alma.
22Lo mismo que se come el corzo y el ciervo, así las comerás: el inmundo y el limpio comerán también de ellas.
23Solamente que te esfuerces á no comer sangre: porque la sangre es el alma; y no has de comer el alma juntamente con su carne.
24No la comerás: en tierra la derramarás como agua.
25No comerás de ella; para que te vaya bien á ti, y á tus hijos después de ti, cuando hicieres lo recto en ojos de Jehová.
26Empero las cosas que tuvieres tú consagradas, y tus votos, las tomarás, y vendrás al lugar que Jehová hubiere escogido:
27Y ofrecerás tus holocaustos, la carne y la sangre, sobre el altar de Jehová tu Dios: y la sangre de tus sacrificios será derramada sobre el altar de Jehová tu Dios, y comerás la carne.
28Guarda y escucha todas estas palabras que yo te mando, porque te vaya bien á ti y á tus hijos después de ti para siempre, cuando hicieres lo bueno y lo recto en los ojos de Jehová tu Dios.
29Cuando hubiere devastado delante de ti Jehová tu Dios las naciones á donde tú vas para poseerlas, y las heredares, y habitares en su tierra,
30Guárdate que no tropieces en pos de ellas, después que fueren destruídas delante de ti: no preguntes acerca de sus dioses, diciendo: De la manera que servían aquellas gentes á sus dioses, así haré yo también.
31No harás así á Jehová tu Dios; porque todo lo que Jehová aborrece, hicieron ellos á sus dioses; pues aun á sus hijos é hijas quemaban en el fuego á sus dioses.
32Cuidaréis de hacer todo lo que yo os mando: no añadirás á ello, ni quitarás de ello.

1These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
2Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
3And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
4Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
5But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
6And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
7And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
8Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
9For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
10But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
11Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
12And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.
13Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:
14But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
15Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
16Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
17Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:
18But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
19Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.
20When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
21If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
22Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.
23Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
24Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
25Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
26Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:
27And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
28Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
29When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
30Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
31Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
32What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
World English Bible
1These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess all the days that you live on the earth.
2You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods: on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
3You shall break down their altars, dash their pillars in pieces, and burn their Asherah poles with fire. You shall cut down the engraved images of their gods. You shall destroy their name out of that place.
4You shall not do so to the LORD your God.
5But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there.
6You shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, your vows, your free will offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock there.
7There you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.
8You shall not do all the things that we do here today, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;
9for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which the LORD your God gives you.
10But when you go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety,
11then it shall happen that to the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to the LORD.
12You shall rejoice before the LORD your God—you, and your sons, your daughters, your male servants, your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
13Be careful that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;
14but in the place which the LORD chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.
15Yet you may kill and eat meat within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the LORD your God’s blessing which he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and the deer.
16Only you shall not eat the blood. You shall pour it out on the earth like water.
17You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your free will offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand;
18but you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates. You shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all that you put your hand to.
19Be careful that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
20When the LORD your God enlarges your border, as he has promised you, and you say, “I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat, you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.
21If the place which the LORD your God shall choose to put his name is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which the LORD has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.
22Even as the gazelle and as the deer is eaten, so you shall eat of it. The unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.
23Only be sure that you don’t eat the blood; for the blood is the life. You shall not eat the life with the meat.
24You shall not eat it. You shall pour it out on the earth like water.
25You shall not eat it, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, when you do that which is right in the LORD’s eyes.
26Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take and go to the place which the LORD shall choose.
27You shall offer your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on the LORD your God’s altar. The blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the LORD your God’s altar, and you shall eat the meat.
28Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the LORD your God’s eyes.
29When the LORD your God cuts off the nations from before you where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land,
30be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them after they are destroyed from before you, and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.”
31You shall not do so to the LORD your God; for every abomination to the LORD, which he hates, they have done to their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
32Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.
