27Esse rei fará uma aliança de paz com Israel, que deverá durar uma semana. No meio da semana, ele quebrará sua palavra. Vai obrigar o povo a parar com todos os sacrifícios e ofertas, e, depois, como ponto alto de todas as suas maldades, esse inimigo vai desrespeitar horrivelmente o templo de Deus. Mas, na hora exata em que Deus planejou, o terrível castigo acontecerá de repente contra esse perverso”.

27Y en otra semana confirmará el pacto á muchos, y á la mitad de la semana hará cesar el sacrificio y la ofrenda: después con la muchedumbre de las abominaciones será el desolar, y esto hasta una entera consumación; y derramaráse la ya determinada sobre el pueblo asolado.

27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

27He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.”
