Amós 7

1Da sprach ich: Ach, HERR HERR, laß ab! Wer will Jakob wieder aufhelfen? denn er ist ja gering.
2Da reuete den HERRN das auch, und der HERR HERR sprach: Es soll auch nicht geschehen.
3Er zeigte mir aber dies Gesicht, und siehe, der HERR stund auf einer Mauer, mit einer Bleischnur gemessen; und er hatte die Bleischnur in seiner Hand.
4Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Was siehest du, Amos? Ich sprach: Eine Bleischnur. Da sprach der HERR zu mir: Siehe, ich will eine Bleischnur ziehen mitten durch mein Volk Israel und ihm nichts mehr übersehen,
5sondern die Höhen Isaaks sollen verwüstet und die Kirchen Israels verstöret werden; und ich will mit dem Schwert mich über das Haus Jerobeams machen.
6Da sandte Amazia, der Priester zu Bethel, zu Jerobeam, dem Könige Israels, und ließ ihm sagen: Der Amos macht einen Aufruhr wider dich im Hause Israel; das Land kann seine Worte nicht leiden.
7Denn so spricht Amos: Jerobeam wird durchs Schwert sterben, und Israel wird aus seinem Lande gefangen weggeführet werden.
8Und Amazia sprach zu Amos: Du Seher, gehe weg und flieh ins Land Juda und iß Brot daselbst und weissage daselbst.
9Und weissage nicht mehr zu Bethel; denn es ist des Königs Stift und des Königreichs Haus.
10Amos antwortete und sprach zu Amazia: Ich bin kein Prophet, noch keines Propheten Sohn, sondern ich bin ein Kuhhirte, der Maulbeeren ablieset.
11Aber der HERR nahm mich von der Herde und sprach zu mir: Gehe hin und weissage meinem Volk Israel!
12So höre nun des HERRN Wort! Du sprichst: Weissage nicht wider Israel und träufle nicht wider das Haus Isaak!
13Darum spricht der HERR also: Dein Weib wird in der Stadt zur Hure werden, und deine Söhne und Töchter sollen durchs Schwert fallen, und dein Acker soll durch die Schnur ausgeteilet werden; du aber sollst in einem unreinen Lande sterben, und Israel soll aus seinem Lande vertrieben werden.
14Der HERR HERR zeigte mir ein Gesicht, und siehe, da stund ein Korb mit Obst.
15Und er sprach: Was siehest du, Amos? Ich aber antwortete: Einen Korb mit Obst. Da sprach der HERR zu mir: Das Ende ist kommen über mein Volk Israel; ich will ihm nichts mehr übersehen.
16Und die Lieder in der Kirche sollen in ein Heulen verkehret werden zur selbigen Zeit, spricht der HERR HERR; es werden viel toter Leichname liegen an allen Orten, die man heimlich wegtragen wird.
17Höret dies, die ihr den Armen unterdrücket und die Elenden im Lande verderbet

1ASÍ me ha mostrado el Señor Jehová: y he aquí, él criaba langostas al principio que comenzaba á crecer el heno tardío; y he aquí, era el heno tardío después de las siegas del rey.
2Y acaeció que como acabó de comer la hierba de la tierra, yo dije: Señor Jehová, perdona ahora; ¿quién levantará á Jacob? porque es pequeño.
3Arrepintióse Jehová de esto: No será, dijo Jehová.
4El Señor Jehová me mostró así: y he aquí, llamaba para juzgar por fuego el Señor Jehová; y consumió un gran abismo, y consumió una parte de la tierra.
5Y dije: Señor Jehová, cesa ahora; ¿quién levantará á Jacob? porque es pequeño.
6Arrepintióse Jehová de esto: No será esto tampoco, dijo el Señor Jehová.
7Enseñóme así: he aquí, el Señor estaba sobre un muro hecho á plomo, y en su mano una plomada de albañil.
8Jehová entonces me dijo: ¿Qué ves, Amós? Y dije: Una plomada de albañil. Y el Señor dijo: He aquí, yo pongo plomada de albañil en medio de mi pueblo Israel: no le pasaré más:
9Y los altares de Isaac serán destruídos, y los santuarios de Israel serán asolados; y levantaréme con espada sobre la casa de Jeroboam.
10Entonces Amasías sacerdote de Beth-el envió á decir á Jeroboam, rey de Israel: Amós se ha conjurado contra ti en medio de la casa de Israel: la tierra no puede sufrir todas sus palabras.
11Porque así ha dicho Amós: Jeroboam morirá á cuchillo, é Israel pasará de su tierra en cautiverio.
12Y Amasías dijo á Amós: Vidente, vete, y huye á tierra de Judá, y come allá tu pan, y profetiza allí:
13Y no profetices más en Beth-el, porque es santuario del rey, y cabecera del reino.
14Entonces respondió Amós, y dijo á Amasías: No soy profeta, ni soy hijo de profeta, sino que soy boyero, y cogedor de cabrahigos:
15Y Jehová me tomó de tras el ganado, y díjome Jehová: Ve, y profetiza á mi pueblo Israel.
16Ahora pues, oye palabra de Jehová. Tú dices: No profetices contra Israel, ni hables contra la casa de Isaac:
17Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: Tu mujer fornicará en la ciudad, y tus hijos y tus hijas caerán á cuchillo, y tu tierra será partida por suertes; y tú morirás en tierra inmunda, é Israel será traspasado de su tierra.

1Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings.
2And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
3The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, saith the LORD.
4Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
5Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
6The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
7Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.
8And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
9And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
10Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
11For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
12Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
13But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
14Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:
15And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
16Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.
17Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.

1Thus the Lord GOD showed me: behold, he formed locusts in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and behold, it was the latter growth after the king’s harvest.
2When they finished eating the grass of the land, then I said, “Lord GOD, forgive, I beg you! How could Jacob stand? For he is small.”
3The LORD relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” says the LORD.
4Thus the Lord GOD showed me: behold, the Lord GOD called for judgment by fire; and it dried up the great deep, and would have devoured the land.
5Then I said, “Lord GOD, stop, I beg you! How could Jacob stand? For he is small.”
6The LORD relented concerning this. “This also shall not be,” says the Lord GOD.
7Thus he showed me: behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumb line, with a plumb line in his hand.
8The LORD said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said, “Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.
9The high places of Isaac will be desolate, the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.”
10Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.
11For Amos says, ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”
12Amaziah also said to Amos, “You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there,
13but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!”
14Then Amos answered Amaziah, “I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;
15and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’
16Now therefore listen to the LORD’s word: ‘You say, Don’t prophesy against Israel, and don’t preach against the house of Isaac.’
17Therefore the LORD says: ‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”
