42Então Deus lhes deu as costas e abandonou a todos eles, deixando que servissem ao sol, à lua e às estrelas como deuses deles, conforme foi escrito no livro dos profetas: ‘Foi a mim que vocês ofereceram sacrifícios naqueles quarenta anos no deserto, ó povo de Israel?

42Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

42But God turned away and gave them up to serve the army of the sky, as it is written in the book of the prophets, ‘Did you offer to me slain animals and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
