1Le jour de la Pentecôte étant arrivé, ils étaient tous d'un accord dans un même lieu.
2Alors il vint tout à coup du ciel un bruit comme celui d'un vent qui souffle avec impétuosité; et il remplit toute la maison où ils étaient.
3Et il leur apparut des langues séparées, comme de feu, et qui se posèrent sur chacun d'eux.
4Et ils furent tous remplis du Saint-Esprit, et ils commencèrent à parler des langues étrangères, selon que l'Esprit les faisait parler.
5Or, il y avait en séjour à Jérusalem des Juifs, hommes pieux, de toutes les nations qui sont sous le ciel.
6Et ce bruit ayant eu lieu, il s'assembla une multitude, qui fut confondue de ce que chacun les entendait parler dans sa propre langue.
7Et ils en étaient tous hors d'eux-mêmes et dans l'admiration, se disant les uns aux autres: Ces gens-là qui parlent, ne sont-ils pas tous Galiléens?
8Comment donc les entendons-nous chacun dans la propre langue du pays où nous sommes nés?
9Parthes, Mèdes, Élamites, et ceux qui habitent la Mésopotamie, la Judée, la Cappadoce, le Pont et l'Asie,
10La Phrygie, la Pamphylie, l'Égypte, les quartiers de la Lybie qui est près de Cyrène, et les étrangers romains,
11Juifs et Prosélytes, Crétois et Arabes, nous les entendons parler en nos langues des merveilles de Dieu.
12Ils étaient donc tous étonnés, et ne savaient que penser, se disant l'un à l'autre: Que veut dire ceci?
13Et d'autres se moquant, disaient: C'est qu'ils sont pleins de vin doux.
14Mais Pierre, se présentant avec les onze, éleva sa voix, et leur dit: Hommes juifs, et vous tous qui habitez à Jérusalem, sachez ceci, et prêtez l'oreille à mes paroles:
15Car ceux-ci ne sont point ivres, comme vous supposez, puisque c'est la troisième heure du jour.
16Mais c'est ici ce qui a été prédit par le prophète Joël:
17Il arrivera dans les derniers jours, dit Dieu, que je répandrai de mon Esprit sur toute chair, vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront; vos jeunes gens auront des visions, et vos vieillards auront des songes.
18Et certes, dans ces jours-là, je répandrai de mon Esprit sur mes serviteurs et sur mes servantes, et ils prophétiseront;
19Et je ferai des prodiges en haut dans le ciel, et des signes en bas sur la terre, du sang et du feu, et une vapeur de fumée;
20Le soleil sera changé en ténèbres, et la lune en sang, avant que la grande et éclatante journée du Seigneur vienne;
21Et il arrivera que quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur, sera sauvé.
22Hommes Israélites, écoutez ces paroles: Jésus le Nazarien, cet homme signalé de Dieu parmi vous par les actes de puissance, les merveilles et les miracles qu'il a opérés par son moyen au milieu de vous, comme vous le savez vous-mêmes;
23Ce Jésus livré par la volonté déterminée et selon la prescience de Dieu, vous l'avez pris, et, l'ayant attaché à la croix par les mains des iniques, vous l'avez fait mourir.
24Mais Dieu l'a ressuscité, ayant rompu les liens de la mort, parce qu'il n'était pas possible qu'il fût retenu par elle.
25Car David dit de lui: Je voyais toujours le Seigneur devant moi, parce qu'il est à ma droite, afin que je ne sois point ébranlé.
26C'est pourquoi mon cour s'est réjoui, et ma langue a fait éclater sa joie, et ma chair aussi reposera en espérance;
27Parce que tu ne laisseras point mon âme dans le sépulcre, et que tu ne permettras point que ton Saint voie la corruption.
28Tu m'as fait connaître le chemin de la vie; tu me rempliras de joie devant ta face.
29Hommes frères, il est permis de vous dire avec assurance, quant au patriarche David, qu'il est mort, et qu'il a été enseveli, et que son sépulcre est encore aujourd'hui parmi nous.
30Mais étant prophète, et sachant que Dieu lui avait promis avec serment qu'il ferait naître le Christ de sa postérité selon la chair, pour le faire asseoir sur son trône;
31Prévoyant cela, il dit de la résurrection du Christ, que son âme ne serait point laissée dans l'enfer, et que sa chair ne verrait point la corruption.
32Dieu a ressuscité ce Jésus; nous en sommes tous témoins.
33Élevé donc à la droite de Dieu, et ayant reçu du Père la promesse du Saint-Esprit, il a répandu ce que vous voyez et entendez maintenant.
34Car David n'est point monté au ciel, mais il dit lui-même: Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur: Assieds-toi à ma droite,
35Jusqu'à ce que j'aie fait de tes ennemis le marchepied de tes pieds.
36Que toute la maison d'Israël sache donc avec certitude que Dieu a fait Seigneur et Christ ce Jésus que vous avez crucifié.
37Ayant entendu ces choses, ils furent touchés de componction en leur cour, et dirent à Pierre et aux autres apôtres: Hommes frères, que ferons-nous?
38Et Pierre leur dit: Repentez-vous, et que chacun de vous soit baptisé au nom de Jésus-Christ, pour la rémission de ses péchés; et vous recevrez le don du Saint-Esprit.
39Car la promesse a été faite à vous et à vos enfants, et à tous ceux qui sont éloignés, autant que le Seigneur notre Dieu en appellera.
40Et il les conjurait par plusieurs autres discours et les exhortait, en disant: Sauvez-vous de cette race perverse.
41Ceux donc qui reçurent de bon cœur sa parole, furent baptisés; et ce jour-là environ trois mille âmes furent ajoutées aux disciples.
42Or, ils persévéraient dans la doctrine des apôtres, dans la communion, dans la fraction du pain et dans les prières.
43Et tout le monde avait de la crainte, et il se faisait beaucoup de miracles et de prodiges par les apôtres.
44Or, tous ceux qui croyaient étaient dans un même lieu, et avaient toutes choses communes;
45Ils vendaient leurs possessions et leurs biens, et les distribuaient à tous, selon le besoin que chacun en avait.
46Et ils étaient tous les jours assidus au temple d'un commun accord; et rompant le pain dans leurs maisons, ils prenaient leur nourriture avec joie et simplicité de cour;
47Louant Dieu, et étant agréables à tout le peuple; et le Seigneur ajoutait tous les jours à l'Église des gens qui étaient sauvés.

1Y COMO se cumplieron los días de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes juntos;
2Y de repente vino un estruendo del cielo como de un viento recio que corría, el cual hinchió toda la casa donde estaban sentados;
3Y se les aparecieron lenguas repartidas, como de fuego, que se asentó sobre cada uno de ellos.
4Y fueron todos llenos del Espíritu Santo, y comenzaron á hablar en otras lenguas, como el Espíritu les daba que hablasen.
5Moraban entonces en Jerusalem Judíos, varones religiosos, de todas las naciones debajo del cielo.
6Y hecho este estruendo, juntóse la multitud; y estaban confusos, porque cada uno les oía hablar su propia lengua.
7Y estaban atónitos y maravillados, diciendo: He aquí ¿no son Galileos todos estos que hablan?
8¿Cómo, pues, les oímos nosotros hablar cada uno en nuestra lengua en que somos nacidos?
9Partos y Medos, y Elamitas, y los que habitamos en Mesopotamia, en Judea y en Capadocia, en el Ponto y en Asia,
10En Phrygia y Pamphylia, en Egipto y en las partes de Africa que está de la otra parte de Cirene, y Romanos extranjeros, tanto Judíos como convertidos,
11Cretenses y Arabes, les oímos hablar en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios.
12Y estaban todos atónitos y perplejos, diciendo los unos á los otros: ¿Qué quiere ser esto?
13Mas otros burlándose, decían: Que están llenos de mosto.
14Entonces Pedro, poniéndose en pie con los once, alzó su voz, y hablóles diciendo: Varones Judíos, y todos los que habitáis en Jerusalem, esto os sea notorio, y oid mis palabras.
15Porque éstos no están borrachos, como vosotros pensáis, siendo la hora tercia del día;
16Mas esto es lo que fué dicho por el profeta Joel:
17Y será en los postreros días, dice Dios, derramaré de mi Espíritu sobre toda carne, y vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas profetizarán; y vuestros mancebos verán visiones, y vuestros viejos soñarán sueños:
18Y de cierto sobre mis siervos y sobre mis siervas en aquellos días derramaré de mi Espíritu, y profetizarán.
19Y daré prodigios arriba en el cielo, y señales abajo en la tierra, sangre y fuego y vapor de humo:
20El sol se volverá en tinieblas, y la luna en sangre, antes que venga el día del Señor, grande y manifiesto;
21Y será que todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo.
22Varones Israelitas, oid estas palabras: Jesús Nazareno, varón aprobado de Dios entre vosotros en maravillas y prodigios y señales, que Dios hizo por él en medio de vosotros, como también vosotros sabéis;
23A éste, entregado por determinado consejo y providencia de Dios, prendisteis y matasteis por manos de los inicuos, crucificándole;
24Al cual Dios levantó, sueltos los dolores de la muerte, por cuanto era imposible ser detenido de ella.
25Porque David dice de él: Veía al Señor siempre delante de mí: porque está á mi diestra, no seré conmovido.
26Por lo cual mi corazón se alegró, y gozóse mi lengua; y aun mi carne descansará en esperanza;
27Que no dejarás mi alma en el infierno, ni darás á tu Santo que vea corrupción.
28Hicísteme notorios los caminos de la vida; me henchirás de gozo con tu presencia.
29Varones hermanos, se os puede libremente decir del patriarca David, que murió, y fué sepultado, y su sepulcro está con nosotros hasta del día de hoy.
30Empero siendo profeta, y sabiendo que con juramento le había Dios jurado que del fruto de su lomo, cuanto á la carne, levantaría al Cristo que se sentaría sobre su trono;
31Viéndolo antes, habló de la resurrección de Cristo, que su alma no fué dejada en el infierno, ni su carne vió corrupción.
32A este Jesús resucitó Dios, de lo cual todos nosotros somos testigos.
33Así que, levantado por la diestra de Dios, y recibiendo del Padre la promesa del Espíritu Santo, ha derramado esto que vosotros veis y oís.
34Porque David no subió á los cielos; empero él dice: Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra,
35Hasta que ponga á tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
36Sepa pues ciertísimamente toda la casa de Israel, que á éste Jesús que vosotros crucificasteis, Dios ha hecho Señor y Cristo.
37Entonces oído esto, fueron compungidos de corazón, y dijeron á Pedro y á los otros apóstoles: Varones hermanos, ¿qué haremos?
38Y Pedro les dice: Arrepentíos, y bautícese cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesucristo para perdón de los pecados; y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo.
39Porque para vosotros es la promesa, y para vuestros hijos, y para todos los que están lejos; para cuantos el Señor nuestro Dios llamare.
40Y con otras muchas palabras testificaba y exhortaba, diciendo: Sed salvos de esta perversa generación.
41Así que, los que recibieron su palabra, fueron bautizados: y fueron añadidas á ellos aquel día como tres mil personas.
42Y perseveraban en la doctrina de los apóstoles, y en la comunión, y en el partimiento del pan, y en las oraciones.
43Y toda persona tenía temor: y muchas maravillas y señales eran hechas por los apóstoles.
44Y todos los que creían estaban juntos; y tenían todas las cosas comunes;
45Y vendían las posesiones, y las haciendas, y repartíanlas á todos, como cada uno había menester.
46Y perseverando unánimes cada día en el templo, y partiendo el pan en las casas, comían juntos con alegría y con sencillez de corazón,
47Alabando á Dios, y teniendo gracia con todo el pueblo. Y el Señor añadía cada día á la iglesia los que habían de ser salvos.

1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans?
8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

15For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

1Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2Suddenly there came from the sky a sound like the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them.
4They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.
5Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under the sky.
6When this sound was heard, the multitude came together and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language.
7They were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Behold, aren’t all these who speak Galileans?
8How do we hear, everyone in our own native language?
9Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and people from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia,
10Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, the parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
11Cretans and Arabians—we hear them speaking in our languages the mighty works of God!”
12They were all amazed and were perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

21It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
22“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him among you, even as you yourselves know,
23him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;
24whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.
25For David says concerning him, ‘I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.
26Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope,
27because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.
28You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’
29“Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
30Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
31he foreseeing this, spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay.
32This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.
33Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you now see and hear.
34For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand
35until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’
36“Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
37Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”
40With many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”
41Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.
42They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
43Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
44All who believed were together, and had all things in common.
45They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.
46Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
47praising God and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.
