And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”
En entendant ces choses, nous et les gens de ce lieu, nous le suppliâmes de ne pas monter à Jérusalem.
Lo cual como oímos, le rogamos nosotros y los de aquel lugar, que no subiese á Jerusalem.

Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.

Que faire donc ? L'assemblée doit certainement se réunir, car ils apprendront que tu es arrivé.
¿Qué hay pues? La multitud se reunirá de cierto: porque oirán que has venido.
What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.
Fais donc ce que nous te disons. Nous avons quatre hommes qui ont fait un vœu.
Haz pues esto que te decimos: Hay entre nosotros cuatro hombres que tienen voto sobre sí:
Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;

Prends-les avec toi, purifie-toi avec eux, et paie leurs dépenses, afin qu'ils se rasent la tête. Ainsi, tous sauront qu'il n'y a rien de vrai dans ce qu'on leur a dit à ton sujet, mais que toi aussi tu te conduis en observant la loi.

Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
Take them and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads. Then all will know that there is no truth in the things that they have been informed about you, but that you yourself also walk keeping the law.
Mais en ce qui concerne les païens qui ont cru, nous avons écrit notre décision : ils ne doivent rien observer de tel, si ce n'est de s'abstenir des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles, du sang, des animaux étouffés, et de l'immoralité sexuelle. »
Empero cuanto á los que de los Gentiles han creído, nosotros hemos escrito haberse acordado que no guarden nada de esto; solamente que se abstengan de lo que fuere sacrificado á los ídolos, y de sangre, y de ahogado, y de fornicación.
As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality.”
Alors Paul prit ces hommes, se purifia avec eux le lendemain, et entra dans le temple, annonçant l'accomplissement des jours de purification, jusqu'à ce que l'offrande fût présentée pour chacun d'eux.
Entonces Pablo tomó consigo aquellos hombres, y al día siguiente, habiéndose purificado con ellos, entró en el templo, para anunciar el cumplimiento de los días de la purificación, hasta ser ofrecida ofrenda por cada uno de ellos.
Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.

Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.

Dans la foule, les uns criaient une chose, les autres une autre. Comme il ne pouvait pas découvrir la vérité à cause du tumulte, il ordonna de le conduire dans la forteresse.

And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.

And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.

Au moment d'être introduit dans la forteresse, Paul demanda au commandant : « M'est-il permis de te dire quelque chose ? » Il répondit : « Tu sais le grec ?
Y como comenzaron á meter á Pablo en la fortaleza, dice al tribuno: ¿Me será lícito hablarte algo? Y él dijo: ¿Sabes griego?
And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?
As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he asked the commanding officer, “May I speak to you?” He said, “Do you know Greek?
N'es-tu donc pas cet Égyptien qui, ces jours derniers, a soulevé une sédition et conduit dans le désert les quatre mille hommes des Assassins ? »
¿No eres tú aquel Egipcio que levantaste una sedición antes de estos días, y sacaste al desierto cuatro mil hombres salteadores?
Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?
Aren’t you then the Egyptian who before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?”
Mais Paul dit : « Je suis un Juif de Tarse en Cilicie, citoyen d'une ville qui n'est pas sans importance. Je t'en prie, permets-moi de parler au peuple. »
Entonces dijo Pablo: Yo de cierto soy hombre Judío, ciudadano de Tarso, ciudad no obscura de Cilicia: empero ruégote que me permitas que hable al pueblo.
But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

Quand il lui en eut donné la permission, Paul, debout sur les marches, fit signe de la main au peuple. Un grand silence s'étant fait, il s'adressa à eux en langue hébraïque, en disant :
