23Als er trotzdem die Verfolgung nicht aufgeben wollte, stieß ihn Abner mit dem unteren Ende seines Speeres in den Unterleib, so daß der Speer hinten herausdrang und er dort zu Boden stürzte und an jener Stelle starb. Alle aber, die zu der Stelle kamen, wo Asahel gefallen und gestorben war, blieben stehen.

23Y no queriendo él irse, hiriólo Abner con el regatón de la lanza por la quinta costilla, y salióle la lanza por las espaldas, y cayó allí, y murió en aquel mismo sitio. Y todos los que venían por aquel lugar donde Asael había caído y estaba muerto, se paraban.

23Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
