gegen den Lauteren zeigst du dich lauter und gegen den Verkehrten zeigst du dich verdreht.
Limpio eres para con el limpio, mas con el perverso eres rígido.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.

Denn durch dich zerbreche ich Mauern, mit meinem Gotte springe ich über Wälle.

Gottes Weg ist vollkommen! Das Wort Jahwes ist durchläutert: ein Schild ist er allen, die bei ihm Zuflucht suchen.

Dem Gott, der mich mit Stärke gürtet und meinen Weg eben macht;

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Und du gabst mir den Schild deines Heils und deine Herablassung machte mich groß.

Du machtest weiten Raum für meinen Schritt, und meine Knöchel wanken nicht.

Ich verfolgte meine Feinde und holte sie ein und kehrte nicht um, bis ich sie vernichtet;

Du errettetest mich aus Völkerfehden, setzest mich zum Haupte der Heiden: Leute, die ich nicht kannte, wurden mir unterthan.

Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

Aufs Hörensagen gehorchen sie mir, die Söhne der Fremde schmeicheln mir.
Los extraños titubeaban á mí: en oyendo, me obedecían.
Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
Die Söhne der Fremde schmachten dahin und zittern hervor aus ihren Schlössern.
Los extraños desfallecían, y temblaban en sus escondrijos.
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

der Gott, der mir Rache gab und die Völker unter mich that,
El Dios que me ha vengado, y sujeta los pueblos debajo de mí;
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
der mich herausnahm aus meinen Feinden, und über meine Widersacher erhöhtest du mich. Vor dem Manne voll Gewaltthaten errettetest du mich.
Y que me saca de entre mis enemigos: tú me sacaste en alto de entre los que se levantaron contra mí: librásteme del varón de iniquidades.
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

der seinem Könige großes Heil verleiht und seinem Gesalbten Huld erweist, David und seinem Samen bis in Ewigkeit!
El que engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David, y á su simiente, para siempre.
He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
