23Quand Achitophel vit que son conseil n'était pas suivi, il bâta son ânesse, retourna en sa demeure dans sa ville, donna des instructions à sa famille, se pendit, et mourut ; on l'ensevelit dans le sépulcre de son père.

23Y Achitophel, viendo que no se había puesto por obra su consejo, enalbardó su asno, y levantóse, y fuése á su casa en su ciudad; y después de disponer acerca de su casa, ahorcóse y murió, y fué sepultado en el sepulcro de su padre.

23And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.
