12David sprach aber zu allen seinen Knechten, die bei ihm waren zu Jerusalem: Auf, laßt uns fliehen, denn hie wird kein Entrinnen sein vor Absalom; eilet, daß wir gehen, daß er uns nicht übereile und ergreife uns und treibe ein Unglück auf uns und schlage die Stadt mit der Schärfe des Schwerts!

12También envió Absalom por Achitophel Gilonita, del consejo de David, á Gilo su ciudad, mientras hacía sus sacrificios. Y la conjuración vino á ser grande, pues se iba aumentando el pueblo con Absalom.

12And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
