1De doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y cincuenta y cinco años reinó en Jerusalén ; se llamaba su madre Hafsiba.
2E hizo el mal en la presencia del Señor, venerando los ídolos de las naciones que el Señor exterminó en presencia de los hijos de Israel.
3Y volvió a reedificar los lugares altos, derribados por su padre Ezequías , y erigió altares a Baal, y plantó bosques en honor suyo, como había hecho Acab, rey de Israel, y adoró todos los astros del cielo, y les rindió culto.
4Y erigió altares profanos en la casa del Señor, de la cual el Señor había dicho: Estableceré mi Nombre en Jerusalén ;
5y en los dos atrios del templo del Señor edificó altares a todos los astros del cielo.
6E hizo pasar por el fuego a su propio hijo; y se dio a adivinaciones, y a observar los agüeros, y estableció pitones o nigrománticos, multiplicó los adivinos, haciendo el mal delante del Señor, e irritándolo.
7Además el ídolo del bosque que había plantado, lo colocó en el templo del Señor; templo del cual el Señor dijo a David y a Salomón , su hijo: En este templo y en Jerusalén , ciudad que tengo escogida entre todas las tribus de Israel, estableceré mi Nombre para siempre;
8y no permitiré que en adelante haya de mover Israel su pie de la tierra que di a sus padres; con tal que guarde todos mis mandamientos, y la ley toda que le comunicó mi siervo Moisés.
9El no quiso obedecer, sino que se dejó engañar de Manasés para obrar el mal, o idolatrar aun más que las naciones exterminadas por el Señor a la vista de los hijos de Israel.
10Y así habló el Señor por boca de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:
11Por cuanto Manasés, rey de Judá, ha cometido estas horrendas abominaciones, que sobrepujan a todas cuantas hicieron antes de él los amorreos, y ha hecho también pecar a Judá con sus inmundicias o idolatrías;
12Por tanto, esto dice el Señor Dios de Israel: Sabed que yo lloveré sobre Jerusalén y Judá tales calamidades, que a cualquiera que las oyere contar le retiñirán de terror ambas orejas;
13y mediré a Jerusalén con la misma cuerda que he medido a Samaria, y con la misma plomada que a la casa de Acab; y raeré a Jerusalén como suelen raerse, o borrarse, las tablillas de escribir, pasando y repasando el mango del punzón repetidas veces por encima de ellas, a fin de que nada quede.
14Abandonaré los restos de mi heredad, entregándolos en manos de sus enemigos, y serán saqueados y hechos presa de todos sus adversarios
15por haber obrado el mal en mi presencia, y haberse obstinado en irritarme desde el día en que salieron sus padres del Egipto hasta el día de hoy.
16Además de esto Manasés derramó arroyos de sangre inocente hasta inundar a Jerusalén ; sin contar los otros pecados con que indujo a pecar a Judá para que hiciera lo malo delante del Señor.
17Las demás acciones de Manasés, y todo cuanto hizo, y el pecado que cometió, ¿todo esto no está escrito ya en el Libro de los Anales de los Reyes de Judá?
18Al fin pasó Manasés a descansar con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el jardín de la casa llamado Jardín de Oza; y le sucedió en el reino su hijo Amón.
19Veintidós años tenía Amón cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalén . Se llamó su madre Mesalemec, hija de Harús de Jeteba.
20E hizo lo malo en presencia del Señor, como lo había hecho Manasés su padre,
21y siguió en todo y por todo el proceder de su padre, y sirvió a los ídolos inmundos como los había servido su padre, y los adoró.
22Y abandonó al Señor Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo por las sendas del Señor.
23Unos criados suyos le armaron asechanzas, y lo asesinaron en su casa.
24Mas el pueblo del país mató a todos los que se habían conjurado contra el rey Amón, y proclamaron por rey en su lugar a Josías, hijo suyo.
25Las demás acciones de Amón, ¿no están ya escritas en el Libro de los Anales de los Reyes de Judá?
26Y fue sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Oza, y lo sucedió en el trono su hijo Josías.

1DE doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem cincuenta y cinco años: el nombre de su madre fué Hepsiba.
2E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, según las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.
3Porque él volvió á edificar los altos que Ezechîas su padre había derribado, y levantó altares á Baal, é hizo bosque, como había hecho Achâb rey de Israel: y adoró á todo el ejército del cielo, y sirvió á aquellas cosas.
4Asimismo edificó altares en la casa de Jehová, de la cual Jehová había dicho: Yo pondré mi nombre en Jerusalem.
5Y edificó altares para todo el ejército del cielo en los dos atrios de la casa de Jehová.
6Y pasó á su hijo por fuego, y miró en tiempos, y fué agorero, é instituyó pythones y adivinos, multiplicando así el hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para provocarlo á ira.
7Y puso una entalladura del bosque que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual había Jehová dicho á David y á Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre para siempre en esta casa, y en Jerusalem, á la cual escogí de todas las tribus de Israel:
8Y no volveré á hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra que dí á sus padres, con tal que guarden y hagan conforme á todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme á toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.
9Mas ellos no escucharon; y Manasés los indujo á que hiciesen más mal que las gentes que Jehová destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.
10Y habló Jehová por mano de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:
11Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal que todo lo que hicieron los Amorrheos que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar á Judá en sus ídolos;
12Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí yo traigo tal mal sobre Jerusalem y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere, le retiñirán ambos oídos.
13Y extenderé sobre Jerusalem el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Achâb: y yo limpiaré á Jerusalem como se limpia una escudilla, que después que la han limpiado, la vuelven sobre su haz.
14Y desampararé las reliquias de mi heredad, y entregarlas he en manos de sus enemigos; y serán para saco y para robo á todos sus adversarios;
15Por cuanto han hecho lo malo en mis ojos, y me han provocado á ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.
16Fuera de esto, derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir á Jerusalem de cabo á cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar á Judá, para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.
17Lo demás de los hechos de Manasés, y todas las cosas que hizo, y su pecado que cometió, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
18Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fué sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Uzza; y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.
19De veinte y dos años era Amón cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Mesalemeth hija de Harus de Jotba.
20E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como había hecho Manasés su padre.
21Y anduvo en todos los caminos en que su padre anduvo, y sirvió á las inmundicias á las cuales había servido su padre, y á ellas adoró;
22Y dejó á Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino de Jehová.
23Y los siervos de Amón conspiraron contra él, y mataron al rey en su casa.
24Entonces el pueblo de la tierra hirió á todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar á Josías su hijo.
25Lo demás de los hechos de Amón, que efectuara, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
26Y fué sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Uzza, y reinó en su lugar Josías su hijo.

1Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah.
2And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
3For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
6And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
7And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
10And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
17Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh did.
21And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22And he forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.
23And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.

6He made his son to pass through the fire, practiced sorcery, used enchantments, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits and with wizards. He did much evil in the LORD’s sight, to provoke him to anger.
7He set the engraved image of Asherah that he had made in the house of which the LORD said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever;
8I will not cause the feet of Israel to wander any more out of the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.”
9But they didn’t listen, and Manasseh seduced them to do that which is evil more than the nations did whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
10The LORD spoke by his servants the prophets, saying,
11“Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has also made Judah to sin with his idols;
