1Manassés tinha doze anos quando começou a reinar. Ele reinou por cinquenta e cinco anos em Jerusalém. Sua mãe se chamava Hefzibá.
2Ele fez o que era mau à vista de Yahweh, como as coisas abomináveis das nações que Yahweh havia tirado diante do povo de Israel.
3Pois ele reconstruiu os lugares altos que Ezequias, seu pai, havia destruído, e ele construiu altares a Baal, fez um poste a Astarote, como o que Acabe, rei de Israel, havia feito, e ele se prostrou a todas as estrelas do céu e as adorou.
4Manassés contruiu altares pagãos na casa de Yahweh, apesar do comando de Yahweh: "Em Jerusalém, é onde Meu nome será para sempre".
5Ele construiu altares para todas as estrelas do céu nos dois pátios do templo de Yahweh.
6Ele ofereceu seu filho no fogo; ele praticou feitiçaria e encantamento, e se consultou com aqueles que falam com os mortos e aqueles que falam com os espíritos. Ele praticou muitos atos malignos diante de Yahweh, e ele provocou a ira de Deus.
7A imagem esculpida de Astarote que ele fez, ele a pôs no templo de Yahweh. Foi sobre esse templo que Yahweh havia dito a Davi e a Salomão, seu filho. Ele disse: "Neste templo e em Jerusalém, a qual Eu escolhi de todas as tribos de Israel, que Eu colocarei Meu nome para sempre.
8Não mais deixarei que os pés de Israel andem fora da terra que dei aos seus antepassados, caso eles obedeçam cuidadosamente tudo o que Eu os comandei, e sigam toda Lei que Meu servo Moisés ordenou a eles".
9Mas as pessoas se recusaram a escutar, e Manassés os levou a fazer coisas bem piores, muito mais do que as nações que Yahweh havia destruído diante do povo de Israel.
10Assim, Yahweh falou por meio de Seus servos, os profetas, dizendo:
11"Porque Manassés, rei de Judá, tem feito essas coisas abomináveis, e tendo agido perversamente, que todos os amorreus antes dele fizeram, e também havia feito Judá pecar com seus ídolos,
12então, Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, diz: 'Vê, Eu estou para trazer tal mal sobre Jerusalém e Judá que qualquer que ouvir isto, ambos os ouvidos retinarão.
13Eu estenderei sobre Jerusalém a corda de medidas usada contra Samaria, e a corda de prumo contra a casa de Acabe; Eu irei limpar Jerusalém, da mesma maneira que um homem lava a louça, lavando-a e virando-a de cabeça para baixo.
14Eu lançarei fora o remanescente da Minha herança e os entregarei na mão de seus inimigos. Eles se tornarão vítimas e despojo para todos os seus inimigos,
15porque eles fizeram o mal à Minha vista, e Me provocaram à ira, desde o dia em que seus ancestrais vieram do Egito, até o dia de hoje'".
16Além disso, Manassés derramou muito sangue inocente, até encher Jerusalém de morte de um extremo ao outro. Isto foi em adição ao pecado pelo qual ele fez Judá pecar, quando ela fez o que era mal à vista de Yahweh.
17Quanto aos demais atos relacionados a Manassés, tudo que ele fez, e o pecado cometido, não estão escritos no livro de Crônicas dos reis de Judá?
18Manassés dormiu com seus antepassados e foi sepultado no jardim de sua própria casa, no jardim de Uzá. Amom seu filho tornou-se rei em seu lugar.
19Amom tinha vinte e dois anos quando começou a reinar; ele reinou por dois anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Mesulemete; ela era a filha de Haruz de Jobtá.
20Ele fez o que era mau à vista de Yahweh, da mesma maneira que Manassés, seu pai, fez.
21Amom seguiu o caminho em que seu pai andou e adorou aos ídolos que seu pai adorou, e se prostrou a eles.
22Ele abandonou Yahweh, o Deus de seus pais, e não andou no caminho de Yahweh.
23Os servos de Amom conspiraram contra ele e o mataram em sua própria casa.
24Mas o povo da terra matou todos aqueles que conspiraram contra o rei Amom, e fizeram de Josias, seu filho, rei em seu lugar.
25Quanto às demais situações relacionadas aos atos de Amom, os mesmos não estão escritos no livro de Crônicas dos reis de Judá?
26O povo o sepultou na sua tumba no jardim de Uzá, e Josias seu filho se tornou rei em seu lugar.

1DE doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem cincuenta y cinco años: el nombre de su madre fué Hepsiba.
2E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, según las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.
3Porque él volvió á edificar los altos que Ezechîas su padre había derribado, y levantó altares á Baal, é hizo bosque, como había hecho Achâb rey de Israel: y adoró á todo el ejército del cielo, y sirvió á aquellas cosas.
4Asimismo edificó altares en la casa de Jehová, de la cual Jehová había dicho: Yo pondré mi nombre en Jerusalem.
5Y edificó altares para todo el ejército del cielo en los dos atrios de la casa de Jehová.
6Y pasó á su hijo por fuego, y miró en tiempos, y fué agorero, é instituyó pythones y adivinos, multiplicando así el hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para provocarlo á ira.
7Y puso una entalladura del bosque que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual había Jehová dicho á David y á Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre para siempre en esta casa, y en Jerusalem, á la cual escogí de todas las tribus de Israel:
8Y no volveré á hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra que dí á sus padres, con tal que guarden y hagan conforme á todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme á toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.
9Mas ellos no escucharon; y Manasés los indujo á que hiciesen más mal que las gentes que Jehová destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.
10Y habló Jehová por mano de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:
11Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal que todo lo que hicieron los Amorrheos que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar á Judá en sus ídolos;
12Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí yo traigo tal mal sobre Jerusalem y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere, le retiñirán ambos oídos.
13Y extenderé sobre Jerusalem el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Achâb: y yo limpiaré á Jerusalem como se limpia una escudilla, que después que la han limpiado, la vuelven sobre su haz.
14Y desampararé las reliquias de mi heredad, y entregarlas he en manos de sus enemigos; y serán para saco y para robo á todos sus adversarios;
15Por cuanto han hecho lo malo en mis ojos, y me han provocado á ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.
16Fuera de esto, derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir á Jerusalem de cabo á cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar á Judá, para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.
17Lo demás de los hechos de Manasés, y todas las cosas que hizo, y su pecado que cometió, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
18Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fué sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Uzza; y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.
19De veinte y dos años era Amón cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Mesalemeth hija de Harus de Jotba.
20E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como había hecho Manasés su padre.
21Y anduvo en todos los caminos en que su padre anduvo, y sirvió á las inmundicias á las cuales había servido su padre, y á ellas adoró;
22Y dejó á Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino de Jehová.
23Y los siervos de Amón conspiraron contra él, y mataron al rey en su casa.
24Entonces el pueblo de la tierra hirió á todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar á Josías su hijo.
25Lo demás de los hechos de Amón, que efectuara, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
26Y fué sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Uzza, y reinó en su lugar Josías su hijo.

1Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah.
2And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
3For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.
6And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
7And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
10And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
17Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh did.
21And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22And he forsook the LORD God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.
23And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
