17Assim, conforme o Senhor havia falado pela boca do profeta, morreu o rei Acazias. Como ele não tinha filhos para reinar em seu lugar, subiu ao trono o seu irmão Jorão. Isso aconteceu no segundo ano do reinado de Jeorão, filho de Josafá, em Judá.

17So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
