17Apesar disso, o rei da Assíria mandou, de Láquis, seu comandante do campo, seu principal tesoureiro e o chefe do seu estado-maior. Esses três foram com um grande exército e acamparam ao longo da estrada que fica ao lado do campo onde os tintureiros punham a roupa para branquear, perto do abastecimento de água do açude superior.

17Después el rey de Asiria envió al rey Ezechîas, desde Lachîs contra Jerusalem, á Thartán y á Rabsaris y á Rabsaces, con un grande ejército: y subieron, y vinieron á Jerusalem. 17And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rab-shakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.
