2e só não conseguiu matar seu filho Joás. Joás foi salvo por sua tia Jeoseba, que era irmã do rei Acazias, pois ela era filha do rei Jorão, pai de Acazias. Ela pegou o menino entre os filhos do rei que estavam para ser assassinados, e escondeu o menino com sua babá num depósito que havia no templo.

2Pero tomando Josaba hija del rey Joram, hermana de Ochôzías, á Joas hijo de Ochôzías, sacólo furtivamente de entre los hijos del rey, que se mataban, y ocultólo de delante de Athalía, á él y á su ama, en la cámara de las camas, y así no lo mataron.

2But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.
