15Aber der Priester Jojada gab den Hauptleuten den Befehlshabern des Heeres den Befehl: »Führt sie hinaus zwischen den Reihen hindurch, und wer ihr folgt, den haut mit dem Schwerte nieder!« Der Priester hatte nämlich befohlen, sie dürfe ja nicht im Tempel des HERRN getötet werden.

15But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD.

15Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, “Bring her out between the ranks. Kill anyone who follows her with the sword.” For the priest said, “Don’t let her be slain in the LORD’s house.”
