5“Desde que traje a mi pueblo desde la tierra de Egipto, nunca había escogido una ciudad en Israel para la ubicación de un templo en el cual estuviera mi nombre; y nunca antes había elegido un guía para mi pueblo Israel. Pero ahora he escogido a Jerusalén para residir en ella, y a David como rey”.

5Desde el día que saqué mi pueblo de la tierra de Egipto, ninguna ciudad he elegido de todas las tribus de Israel para edificar casa donde estuviese mi nombre, ni he escogido varón que fuese príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel.
