1Depois do término da celebração, começou uma grande campanha contra a adoração de imagens. Todos aqueles que estiveram em Jerusalém para a festa da Páscoa saíram pelas cidades de Judá, de Benjamim, de Efraim e de Manassés e derrubaram os altares idólatras, as colunas, as imagens de Aserá e outros lugares de adoração de deuses falsos. Então as pessoas que tinham vindo das tribos do norte para a festa da Páscoa voltaram de novo aos seus lares.

1HECHAS todas estas cosas, todos los de Israel que se habían hallado allí, salieron por las ciudades de Judá, y quebraron las estatuas y destruyeron los bosques, y derribaron los altos y los altares por todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Ephraim y Manasés, hasta acabarlo todo. Después volviéronse todos los hijos de Israel, cada uno á su posesión y á sus ciudades.

1Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

1Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke the pillars in pieces, cut down the Asherah poles, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, also in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.
