22So wenig gedachte der König Joas der Liebe, die Jojada, der Vater jenes (Sacharja), ihm erwiesen hatte, daß er der Mörder seines Sohnes wurde. Dieser aber rief sterbend aus: »Der HERR möge es sehen und wird es rächen!«

22Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he said, The LORD look upon it, and require it.
World English Bible
22Thus Joash the king didn’t remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son. When he died, he said, “May the LORD look at it, and repay it.”
