9Als er dann auch nach Ahasja suchen ließ, der sich in Samaria versteckt hielt, und man ihn nach seiner Festnahme zu Jehu brachte, ließ dieser ihn töten. Doch begrub man ihn alsdann, weil man bedachte, daß er ein Sohn Josaphats sei, der sich zum HERRN mit ganzem Herzen gehalten hatte. Aber in der Familie Ahasjas war niemand mehr vorhanden, der fähig gewesen wäre, den Thron zu besteigen.

9Y buscando á Ochôzías, el cual se había escondido en Samaria, tomáronlo, y trajéronlo á Jehú, y le mataron; y diéronle sepultura, porque dijeron: Es hijo de Josaphat, el cual buscó á Jehová de todo su corazón. Y la casa de Ochôzías no tenía fuerzas para poder retener el reino.

9And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.

World English Bible

9He sought Ahaziah, and they caught him (now he was hiding in Samaria), and they brought him to Jehu and killed him; and they buried him, for they said, “He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart.” The house of Ahaziah had no power to hold the kingdom.
