2Nesse meio-tempo, Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, recebera um aviso a respeito da morte de Salomão. Ele estava no Egito nessa ocasião, para onde tinha fugido do rei Salomão. Mais que depressa ele voltou do Egito para a coroação.

2And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was in Egypt, whither he had fled from the presence of Solomon the king, heard it, that Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.
