47Saül, en obtenant par le sort la royauté, avait été chargé par le sort de faire œuvre pour Israël ; tout alentour, il combattit donc ses ennemis : Moab, les fils d'Ammon, les fils d'Edom, Béthéor, le roi de Suba et tous les Philistins.

47Y ocupando Saúl el reino sobre Israel, hizo guerra á todos sus enemigos alrededor: contra Moab, contra los hijos de Ammón, contra Edom, contra los reyes de Soba, y contra los Filisteos: y á donde quiera que se tornaba era vencedor.

47So Saul took the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed them.
