7A mensagem foi enviada a Baasa e sua família, por meio do profeta Jeú, filho de Hanani, porque ele havia provocado o Senhor com todos os seus atos maus. Ele foi tão mau como a família de Jeroboão, apesar do fato de ter destruído todos os filhos de Jeroboão por causa dos seus pecados.

7Empero la palabra de Jehová por mano de Jehú profeta, hijo de Hanani, había sido contra Baasa y también contra su casa, con motivo de todo lo malo que hizo á los ojos de Jehová, provocándole á ira con las obras de sus manos, para que fuese hecha como la casa de Jeroboam; y porque lo había herido.

7And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.
