4Der König aber hörte des Gottesmannes Wort, das dieser gegen den Altar zu Betel ausgesprochen. Da streckte Jeroboam seine Hand vom Altar herab und sprach: "Ergreifet ihn!" Da verdorrte seine Hand, die er gegen ihn ausgestreckt hatte. Er konnte sie nicht mehr an sich ziehen.

4Y como el rey Jeroboam oyó la palabra del varón de Dios, que había clamado contra el altar de Beth-el, extendiendo su mano desde el altar, dijo: ¡Prendedle! Mas la mano que había extendido contra él, se le secó, que no la pudo tornar á sí.

4And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Beth-el, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

4When the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam put out his hand from the altar, saying, “Seize him!” His hand, which he put out against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back again to himself.
