1 Corintios 4

1A nosotros, pues, nos ha de considerar el hombre como unos ministros de Cristo , y dispensadores de los misterios de Dios.
2Esto supuesto, entre los dispensadores lo que se requiere es, que sean hallados fieles en su ministerio.
3Por lo que a mí toca, muy poco se me da el ser juzgado por vosotros, o en cualquier juicio humano; pues ni aun yo me atrevo a juzgar de mí mismo.
4Porque si bien no me remuerde la conciencia de cosa alguna, no por eso me tengo por justificado; pues el que me juzga es el Señor.
5Por tanto, no queráis sentenciar antes de tiempo, suspended vuestro juicio hasta tanto que venga el Señor, el cual sacará a plena luz lo que está en los escondrijos de las tinieblas, y descubrirá en aquel día las intenciones de los corazones; y entonces cada cual será de Dios alabado según merezca.
6Por lo demás, hermanos míos, todo esto que acabo de decir, lo he presentado en persona mía y en la de Apolo por amor vuestro, a fin de que, sin nombrar a nadie, aprendáis por medio de nosotros a no entonaros uno contra otro a favor de un tercero, más allá de lo que va escri-to.
7Porque ¿quién es el que te da la ventaja sobre otros? O ¿qué cosa tienes tú que no la hayas recibido de Dios? Y si todo lo que tienes lo has recibido de él, ¿de qué te jactas como si no lo hubieses recibido?
8He aquí que vosotros estáis ya satisfechos, hechos ya ricos; sin nosotros estáis reinando; y quiera a Dios que en efecto reinéis, para que así nosotros reinemos también con vosotros.
9Pues yo para mí tengo que Dios a nosotros los apóstoles nos trata como a los últimos o más viles hombres, como a los condenados a muerte, haciéndonos servir de espectáculo al mundo, a los ángeles y a los hombres.
10Nosotros somos considerados como unos necios por amor de Cristo ; mas vosotros, sois los prudentes en Cristo ; nosotros flacos, vosotros fuertes; vosotros sois honrados, nosotros viles y despreciados.
11Hasta la hora presente andamos sufriendo el hambre, la sed, la desnudez, los malos tratamientos, y no tenemos dónde fijar nuestro domicilio,
12y nos afanamos trabajando con nuestras propias manos, nos maldicen, y bendecimos; padecemos persecución, y la sufrimos con paciencia;
13nos ultrajan, y retornamos súplicas; somos en fin tratados, hasta ahora, como la basura del mundo, como la escoria de todos.
14No os escribo estas cosas porque quiera sonrojaros, sino que os amonesto como a hijos míos muy queridos.
15Porque aun cuando tengáis millares de maestros en Jesucristo, no tenéis muchos padres. Pues yo soy el que os he engendrado en Jesucristo por medio de la buena nueva.
16Por tanto, os ruego que seáis imitadores míos, así como yo lo soy de Cristo .
17Con este fin he enviado a vosotros a Timoteo, el cual es hijo mío, carísimo y fiel en el Señor; para que os informe de mi proceder o manera de vivir en Jesucristo, conforme a lo que yo enseño por todas partes en todas las iglesias.
18Algunos sé que están tan engreídos, como si yo nunca hubiese de volver a vosotros.
19Mas bien pronto pasaré a veros, si Dios quiere; y examinaré no la palabrería de los que andan así hinchados, sino su virtud.
20Que no consiste el reino de Dios o nuestra religión en palabras, sino en la virtud, o en buenas obras.
21¿Qué estimáis más?, ¿que vaya a vosotros con la vara o castigo, o con amor y espíritu de mansedumbre?

1TÉNGANNOS los hombres por ministros de Cristo, y dispensadores de los misterios de Dios.
2Mas ahora se requiere en los dispensadores, que cada uno sea hallado fiel.
3Yo en muy poco tengo el ser juzgado de vosotros, ó de juicio humano; y ni aun yo me juzgo.
4Porque aunque de nada tengo mala conciencia, no por eso soy justificado; mas el que me juzga, el Señor es.
5Así que, no juzguéis nada antes de tiempo, hasta que venga el Señor, el cual también aclarará lo oculto de las tinieblas, y manifestará los intentos de los corazones: y entonces cada uno tendrá de Dios la alabanza.
6Esto empero, hermanos, he pasado por ejemplo en mí y en Apolos por amor de vosotros; para que en nosotros aprendáis á no saber más de lo que está escrito, hinchándoos por causa de otro el uno contra el otro.
7Porque ¿quién te distingue? ¿ó qué tienes que no hayas recibido? Y si lo recibiste, ¿de qué te glorías como si no hubieras recibido?
8Ya estáis hartos, ya estáis ricos, sin nosotros reináis; y ojalá reinéis, para que nosotros reinemos también juntamente con vosotros.
9Porque á lo que pienso, Dios nos ha mostrado á nosotros los apóstoles por los postreros, como á sentenciados á muerte: porque somos hechos espectáculo al mundo, y á los ángeles, y á los hombres.
10Nosotros necios por amor de Cristo, y vosotros prudentes en Cristo; nosotros flacos, y vosotros fuertes; vosotros nobles, y nosotros viles.
11Hasta esta hora hambreamos, y tenemos sed, y estamos desnudos, y somos heridos de golpes, y andamos vagabundos;
12Y trabajamos, obrando con nuestras manos: nos maldicen, y bendecimos: padecemos persecución, y sufrimos:
13Somos blasfemados, y rogamos: hemos venido á ser como la hez del mundo, el desecho de todos hasta ahora.
14No escribo esto para avergonzaros: mas amonéstoos como á mis hijos amados.
15Porque aunque tengáis diez mil ayos en Cristo, no tendréis muchos padres; que en Cristo Jesús yo os engendré por el evangelio.
16Por tanto, os ruego que me imitéis.
17Por lo cual os he enviado á Timoteo, que es mi hijo amado y fiel en el Señor, el cual os amonestará de mis caminos cuáles sean en Cristo, de la manera que enseño en todas partes en todas las iglesias.
18Mas algunos están envanecidos, como si nunca hubiese yo de ir á vosotros.
19Empero iré presto á vosotros, si el Señor quisiere; y entenderé, no las palabras de los que andan hinchados, sino la virtud.
20Porque el reino de Dios no consiste en palabras, sino en virtud.
21¿Qué queréis? ¿iré á vosotros con vara, ó con caridad y espíritu de mansedumbre?

1Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
6And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
7For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
8Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.
9For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
10We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
11Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
12And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
13Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
14I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
15For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
16Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
17For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
18Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.
19But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
20For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
21What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?

1So let a man think of us as Christ’s servants and stewards of God’s mysteries.
2Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a human court. Yes, I don’t even judge my own self.
4For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.
5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
6Now these things, brothers, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that in us you might learn not to think beyond the things which are written, that none of you be puffed up against one another.

9For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last of all, like men sentenced to death. For we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men.
10We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You have honor, but we have dishonor.
11Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place.
12We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure.
13Being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the dirt wiped off by all, even until now.
14I don’t write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.
15For though you have ten thousand tutors in Christ, you don’t have many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the Good News.
16I beg you therefore, be imitators of me.
17Because of this I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every assembly.
18Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you.
19But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord is willing. And I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.
20For God’s Kingdom is not in word, but in power.
21What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
