1DIE Söhne Rubens, des Erstgebornen Israels - er war nämlich der Erstgeborne; aber weil er seines Vaters Lager entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, gegeben, doch nicht so, dass dieser im Familienregister als Erstgeborner eingetragen wurde; (a) 1Mo 35:22; 49:4
2denn Juda war unter seinen Brüdern einer der mächtigsten, und Fürst wurde einer von seinem Stamme; aber das Erstgeburtsrecht fiel Joseph zu -
3die Söhne Rubens also, des Erstgebornen Israels, sind: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron und Charmi. (a) 4Mo 26:5 6
4Die Söhne Joels: sein Sohn Semaja; dessen Sohn Gog; dessen Sohn Simei;
5dessen Sohn Micha; dessen Sohn Reaja; dessen Sohn Baal;
6dessen Sohn Beera, den Thilgath-Pilneser, der König von Assyrien, in die Verbannung hinwegführte; dieser war ein Fürst unter den Rubeniten. (1) vgl. Anm. zu V. 26.
7Seine Brüder nach ihren Geschlechtern, so wie sie in die Familienregister eingetragen wurden: zuoberst Jegiel, sodann Sacharja,
8dann Bela, der Sohn des Asas, des Sohnes Semas, des Sohnes Joels; der wohnte in Aroer und bis Nebo und Baal-Meon.
9Und nach Osten wohnte er bis an den Rand der Wüste, die sich vom Euphratstrome her ausdehnt; denn sie besassen viel Vieh im Lande Gilead.
10Und zur Zeit Sauls führten sie Krieg wider die Hagriter, und nachdem diese durch ihre Hand gefallen waren, nahmen sie Wohnung in deren Zelten auf der ganzen Ostseite von Gilead.
11Die Söhne Gads wohnten ihnen gegenüber im Lande Basan bis nach Salcha.
12An der Spitze stand Joel, dann als zweiter Sapham, ferner Janai mit Saphat in Basan.
13Und ihre Brüder, nach ihren Familien, sind: Michael, Mesullam, Seba, Jorai, Jakan, Sia und Heber, ihrer sieben.
14Dies sind die Söhne Abihails, des Sohnes Huris, des Sohnes Jaroahs, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Jesisais, des Sohnes Jahdos, des Sohnes des Bus.
15Ahi, der Sohn Abdiels, des Sohnes Gunis, war eines ihrer Familienhäupter;
16sie wohnten in Gilead, in Basan und seinen Nebenorten und auf allen Weideplätzen des Sirjon bis an ihre Ausläufer.
17Diese alle wurden in die Familienregister eingetragen zur Zeit des Königs Jotham von Juda und zur Zeit des Königs Jerobeam von Israel.
18Die Rubeniten, die Gaditen und der halbe Stamm Manasse, was streitbare Männer waren, die Schild und Schwert führen und den Bogen spannen konnten und kampfgeübt waren - 44 760 wehrfähige Leute -,
19die führten Krieg mit den Hagritern und mit Jetur, Naphis und Nodab.
20Und es ward ihnen geholfen wider sie, also dass die Hagriter und alle ihre Verbündeten in ihre Hand gegeben wurden; denn sie hatten im Kampfe zu Gott geschrieen, und er hatte sich von ihnen erbitten lassen, weil sie ihm vertrauten.
21Und sie führten ihr Vieh hinweg, 50 000 Kamele, 250 000 Schafe und zweitausend Esel, dazu 100 000 Menschen.
22Denn viele waren gefallen, zu Tode getroffen, weil der Krieg von Gott verhängt war. Und sie wohnten an ihrer Stelle bis zur Wegführung.
23Die Angehörigen des halben Stammes Manasse wohnten in dem Lande von Basan an bis Baal-Hermon und bis zum Senir und zum Hermongebirge; denn sie waren zahlreich.
24Und dies waren ihre Familienhäupter: Epher, Jisei, Eliel, Asriel, Jeremia, Hodawja und Jahdiel, kriegstüchtige Männer, Männer von Namen, Häupter ihrer Familien.
25Als sie aber dem Gott ihrer Väter untreu wurden und sich den Götzen der Völker im Lande, die Gott vor ihnen vertilgt hatte, hingaben,
26erregte der Gott Israels den Geist Phuls, des Königs von Assyrien, und den Geist Thilgath-Pilnesers des Königs von Assyrien; der führte die Rubeniten, die Gaditen und den halben Stamm Manasse gefangen hinweg und verbrachte sie nach Halah, nach Habor, in die Berge Mediens und an den Fluss Gosan, (und dort wohnen sie) bis auf diesen Tag. 1Y LOS hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, (porque él era el primogénito, mas como violó el lecho de su padre, sus derechos de primogenitura fueron dados á los hijos de José, hijo de Israel; y no fué contado por primogénito.
2Porque Judá fué el mayorazgo sobre sus hermanos, y el príncipe de ellos: mas el derecho de primogenitura fué de José.)
3Fueron pues los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Enoch, Phallu, Esrón y Charmi.
4Los hijos de Joel: Semaías su hijo, Gog su hijo, Simi su hijo;
5Michâ su hijo, Recaía su hijo, Baal su hijo;
6Beera su hijo, el cual fué trasportado por Thiglath-pilneser rey de los Asirios. Este era principal de los Rubenitas.
7Y sus hermanos por sus familias, cuando eran contados en sus descendencias, tenían por príncipes á Jeiel y á Zachârías.
8Y Bela hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel, habitó en Aroer hasta Nebo y Baal-meón.
9Habitó también desde el oriente hasta la entrada del desierto desde el río Eufrates: porque tenía muchos ganados en la tierra de Galaad.
10Y en los días de Saúl trajeron guerra contra los Agarenos, los cuales cayeron en su mano; y ellos habitaron en sus tiendas sobre toda la haz oriental de Galaad.
11Y los hijos de Gad habitaron enfrente de ellos en la tierra de Basán hasta Salca.
12Y Joel fué el principal en Basán, el segundo Sephán, luego Janai, después Saphat.
13Y sus hermanos, según las familias de sus padres, fueron Michâel, Mesullam, Seba, Jorai, Jachân, Zia, y Heber; en todos siete.

18Los hijos de Rubén, y de Gad, y la media tribu de Manasés, hombres valientes, hombres que traían escudo y espada, que entesaban arco, y diestros en guerra, eran cuarenta y cuatro mil setecientos y sesenta que salían á batalla.
19Y tuvieron guerra con los Agarenos, y Jethur, y Naphis, y Nodab.
20Y fueron ayudados contra ellos, y los Agarenos se dieron en sus manos, y todos los que con ellos estaban; porque clamaron á Dios en la guerra, y fuéles favorable, porque esperaron en él.
21Y tomaron sus ganados, cincuenta mil camellos, y doscientas cincuenta mil ovejas, dos mil asnos, y cien mil personas.
22Y cayeron muchos heridos, porque la guerra era de Dios; y habitaron en sus lugares hasta la transmigración.
23Y los hijos de la media tribu de Manasés habitaron en la tierra, desde Basán hasta Baal-Hermón, y Senir y el monte de Hermón, multiplicados en gran manera.
24Y estas fueron las cabezas de las casas de sus padres: Epher, Isi, y Eliel, Azriel, y Jeremías, y Odavia, y Jadiel, hombres valientes y de esfuerzo, varones de nombre y cabeceras de las casas de sus padres.
25Mas se rebelaron contra el Dios de sus padres, y fornicaron siguiendo los dioses de los pueblos de la tierra, á los cuales había Jehová quitado de delante de ellos.
26Por lo cual el Dios de Israel excitó el espíritu de Phul rey de los Asirios, y el espíritu de Thiglath-pilneser rey de los Asirios, el cual trasportó á los Rubenitas y Gaditas y á la media tribu de Manasés, y llevólos á Halad, y á Habor y á Ara, y al río de Gozán, hasta hoy.

1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)
3The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.

11And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
12Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal-hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

20They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he answered them because they put their trust in him.
21They took away their livestock: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand, and of men one hundred thousand.
22For many fell slain, because the war was of God. They lived in their place until the captivity.
23The children of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the land. They increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, Senir, and Mount Hermon.
24These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel—mighty men of valor, famous men, heads of their fathers’ houses.
25They trespassed against the God of their fathers, and played the prostitute after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed before them.
26So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried away the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and to the river of Gozan, to this day.
