9“E você, Salomão, meu filho, procure conhecer o Deus de seu pai. Adore e sirva a esse Deus com o coração limpo e boa vontade de alma, porque o Senhor vê todos os corações e conhece todos os pensamentos e desejos. Se você procurar Deus, você o encontrará; mas se você o abandonar, ele o rejeitará para sempre.

9Y tú, Salomón, hijo mío, conoce al Dios de tu padre, y sírvele con corazón perfecto, y con ánimo voluntario; porque Jehová escudriña los corazones de todos, y entiende toda imaginación de los pensamientos. Si tú le buscares, lo hallarás; mas si lo dejares, él te desechará para siempre.

9And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
