28O trabalho dos levitas era ajudar os sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão, no serviço feito no templo do Senhor. Eles também eram responsáveis para guardar os objetos sagrados e ajudar nos atos de purificação e qualquer outro serviço da casa de Deus.
