28O dever deles era auxiliar os descendentes de Arão no serviço da Casa de Yahweh. Eles cuidavam dos pátios, dos aposentos, da purificação cerimonial de todas as coisas pertencentes a Yahweh, e outras obras a serviço da casa de Deus.
