24―No —respondió el rey—, debo comprarlo por el valor real; no puedo tomar sin pago lo que es tuyo y luego darlo al Señor. ¡No ofreceré al Señor un holocausto que no me haya costado!

24Y Ornán respondió á David: Tómalo para ti, y haga mi señor el rey lo que bien le pareciere: y aun los bueyes daré para el holocausto, y los trillos para leña, y trigo para el presente: yo lo doy todo.

24And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
World English Bible
24King David said to Ornan, “No, but I will most certainly buy it for the full price. For I will not take that which is yours for the LORD, nor offer a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”
